First time to Banff and we researched best places to stay that were nicer and still close to everything, and glad we chose here. The hotel looks great, has a lovely "lodgy"feel and staff were always very helpful. Room was comfy, quiet, no view to speak of, but warm, bed was huge and bathroom well fitted. The dining room was always well serviced but yes, a little pricey even for breakfast - although for lovely buffet was hard to resist staying inhouse, and they do it nice and early so you can get the first buses to the mountains. Its about a 4-5min walk to the town centre, but there are a few little bars/rest nearby if its too cold. It was nice to be just a little out of town as I think it would be a bit noisy on the main streets nearer the bars/clubs. One trap is to beware of the "cab" vouchers - when the concierge give them to you, it means the trip to the buses is paid on your room (eg - $5 each way) and you just give the voucher to the cab driver. Dont give the cab driver the fare (eg the $5 on the metre) - which we did, and didnt know until we checked out and were told how it worked! Lovely upmarket lodge in good position but no bar area as such.

we enjoyed our stay at your hotel this past weekend. We did enjoy the windshield cleaning. I just wish you would do the back one too!!!
We found the prices very expensive in the dining room. the food was great but man it cost alot.

Very friendly staff everywhere in the hotel. Kids loved the pool and hot tub area. Close to downtown too! Bonus was they cleaned my windshield in the morning for using their parking garage.
