I stayed in total already three times in the Lucerna, everytime when I came to Mexicali for business. The hotel is well situated, has really nice rooms, three rather good restaurants and two swimming pools which are nice for an after-work swim, especially in summer when temperatures in Mexicali can get up to 45°C.

After all this hotel offers a very good relation between cost and offer, I definitely would recommend this hotel to any traveler, especially to foreigners.

Staff was wonderful, if not a bit too eager to help. The pool area looks great at night with the lighting and the fountain. The room is nice and what you expect for a 2-3 star hotel. The one negative was that we were placed in a building in which the air conditioner had stopped working. The weather was nice enough that this was not a big issue. The location is convienent to many restaurants and even a Starbucks. We felt very safe in the hotel and would stay again.

We loved this hotel! The food was fabulous. The pool was wonderful. Terrific atmosphere!

We stayed at the Lucerna the weekend of April 17. I have to stay that we were pleasently surprised. We had not been to Mexicali as adults and were concerned for safety issues since we were 3 women traveling alone. The hotel is in a very nice area and close to countless restaurants and stores. All employees were friendly and helpful.

We stayed in a bungalow. The room was ver roomy, clean and well taken care of.

Would not think twice about staying at this hotel again.
