I decided a long time ago not to stay in hotels that do not provide complementary Internet. Today, paying for internet is like charging you for electricity in hotels! So I chose this hotel despite its average ranking in Tripadvisor, primarily for its complementary internet. I was not disappointed. They provide excellent breakfast buffet, the beach and pool were great, you have free PCs and printing facility in the lobby, and of course, free Wi FI internet in the room. Also many excellent restaurants and night spots just across the street in Boca del Rio.

On the downside, they need to do more on cleanliness. I wasn't satisfied with the cleanliness of my room. Also ACs are not central, but the loud split units, so you need to get used to it while sleeping. Definitely not the standard of other NH hotels I stayed in.

I attended and participated in the XI Congresso Veracruzano De Medicina Critica Y Terapia Intensiva. The hotel accomodations were great and the staff outstanding. I went for business but I would suggest this locale for newly weds, romantic getaways or anyone who wants to enjoy a clean, nice hotel but a short car drive away from the historic area.

This hotel is in a good location in the new fancy part of Veracruz. It is right on the beach and has a nice pool. Spa services that I didn`t use and a restaurant. The rooms are well appointed. However this NH hotel is not up to the standards of others I have stayed in recently, like the one in Budapest. While we have a view of the ocean, the windows are so dirty that you can hardly see outside. The amenities were very nice, but after 3 days they have not given us another bar of soap. There is a coffee maker in the room but they only gave us coffee the first night. The towels and linen are clean. They ask you not to waist water and re use the towels, but then you have to let the water run for 15 to 20 minutes in the morning before you get hot water. The furniture, lamps and all the wood and metal show finger marks. I like this chain and I am disapointed in the maintenance of the place. The computer area is nice, but they didn`t clean it everyday. They need to spend more on maintenance. We had a phone that kept flashing for messages and eventhough they came to fix it, not only was it left the same way for the duration, the person that came in took the maids tip. I told the receptionist after I verified with the maid that she had not received it. Having someone like that with access to my room was not reasuring. I did not hear from the management that anything had been done.

We have spent two nights in Veracruz , cause actually there wasn't much to do out there. We were given a very nice room, well equipped, pretty clean. Room service was rather efficient and rapid. Ordering food was so cheap for god sake...
The only problem is that the location was a little bit far from city center...
but it was worthwhile after all...
