We spent two nights in Veracruz City before flying home from visiting family in Central Mexico. This hotel was run down and shabby. The staff was not very polite. We spent 15 minutes in the room before deciding to go down to the lobby and cancel and get our money back. So glad we did! Found a MUCH better deal just up the beach! (check out my other review)

I booked a few nights at this place, as I was in town for a conference at the WTC. It's pretty far from the center, but there is a bus stop right out front. It is NOT a walkable distance really though. You could walk along the beach maybe, but there is some construction on the road that would not make it a safe walk. If you were carrying very much, you would be a hot, sweaty mess pretty quickly!
For the price, it's not a bad deal. It is across the street from the beach. The place has a really friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are like apartments- not a lot of space in the bedroom or bathroom- but there is a large sitting/kitchen area along with a mini-fridge.
If you're looking for luxury, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a cheap, relatively clean place to stay in the area, it's not a bad deal.
- Liked — There was a fridge so I had a place to keep a couple of beverages.
- Disliked — It was a bit old and was sort of far away from where I needed to be (but that's not really the hotel's fault! Although they did make themselves seem closer to the WTC than they actually were).
