“Good business hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2011

I have stayed here many times over the years, staff are always friendly and if you are on the top floor the rooms are enormous, seperate lounge and bedroom.
Breakfast is an enertainment in itself, so much to choose from. The main restuarant is good and lots of staff to look after all your needs.
Although its located on a busy road I never heard anything in my room so dont let that put you off.
If you arrive at the weekend the outdoor pool is really just for a refreshing dip as its not big. Remember you are very high up in Mexico and the sun is very strong.

“typical hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2009

Had the good fortune to stay here for 8 days.
Rooms were very large and clean and comfortable.Had a view of the pool and the surrounding city and hills.
Aircon very loud and prevented me from sleeping on the first night but finally i figured out how to switch it off and no problems after that.
Breakfast was very busy every morning but to be fair waiting the extra couple of minutes was worth it as the food was great.coffee a little hard to find but not worth complaining about.
the foyer and staff were always well presented and along with the concierge, nothing was ever a problem

“lots of room for improvement”

I have stayed at the FA about 40 nights in the last year. Most recently, I stayed on the "club level" floor...My first night there, I went to the club to enjoy some snacks and was surpised to see the food absolutely COVERED with ants. Not just one or two ants...I mean hundred's ants! I told the girl working at the desk who was very busy reading her book. She got up, looked at the food, and removed ONE of the three platters of food. She then went back to reading. I looked at the other platters of food, and they were still covered with ants. I complained at the front desk and that was the last I saw of the ants for the rest of the week.

The rooms are comfortable, the shower and bed are ok. The a/c works well.

The restaurant is not that great...food is pricey by Mexico standards. The great Italian restaurant in the lower level is now closed.

Beware, the wireless internet is not dependable! It may let you on for a minute or two, but then it kicks you off. My suggestion is to take your laptop in the lobby.

Overall, the hotel is pretty while in the lobby..but not that great otherwise.

  • Liked — friendliness of the bell boys
  • Disliked — ants

“Great hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2007

I did stay at Fiesta Americana for 4 nights under the Corona Rally in 2006. The hotel is one of the best in town I believe with great location. I don’t remember the price we did pay but it was normal and nothing especially expensive. Staff was helpful and very polite. Public area was very representative and nice.
Rooms was ok and I don’t have any complains about the stay at the hotel. Good breakfast and delicious and perfect strawberry daiquiris in the bar at evening where they play grand piano. We did also try the restaurant in basement one evening and it is no reason to complain on that either.

All in all – I believe this is the place to stay in Leon.
