Stay away from this place!!, for starters the only windows in our room lead to a small light cube inside the freaking building so there's absolutely no natural light in the room whatsoever and u can listen every single noise in the rooms nearby, which windows are only 3 meters away and if you open the curtains you can also spy on anyone even if they are showering.The bed was uncomfortable and noisy, the rates were high, at about $1100.°° pesos. It was a saturday night and there was a sweet sixteen party going on, the music was loud till 4 in the morning and at about 9am i got up abruptly thanks to a maid that was knocking on every single door offering dry cleaning!!!! Seriously?!!! We thought the only good thing about this hotel was the jacuzzi right next to the little pool, but as it turns out by accidentally drinking a little water from it we both got badly sick in our stomach and we found out it was that because we didn't had dinner that night and in the morning our swimsuits stink so badly the entire room smell like a chemical lab, who knows how badly contaminated it was. The service wasn't that bad but i think you will be better off....

The hotel is beutiful, excelent service, the employes are frendly

The staff here is not friendly. The rooms are rundown. The pool is not clean enough to swim in. There are plenty of decent places to stay in Xalapa for half the price.

The staff at this hotel does not like gringos...they do not want to accommodate you if you are speaking English, or look like a tourist. Most of their clientele consists of Mexican business accounts and therefore do not want tourists from the states staying here.

I am very familiar with Xalapa...now living here. I have stayed in many hotels here. NOTHING was worse than this over-priced disappointment. Believe me there are MUCH better places in Xalapa for half the price. Try ANY decent non-chain hotel, and spend $40-$60 a night for nice big rooms and GREAT service. I don't know what I was thinking about when I decided to stay in a Howard Johnson that costs nearly $100 per night. From the outside it looks like a great place...considered one of the best luxury class hotels in Xalapa.

This place had TERRIBLE service. The staff is rude. The rooms are small with no amenities to match the high price. The pool is ok but the hot-tub is DIRTY no way I was getting in there...but I chose this hotel because they have a hot-tub.

This place is NOT worth the price. There are plenty of friendly, decent places to stay in the city...how this place hasn't gone out of business is a mystery to me.
