“Great Place to Stay”

My husband and I stayed for several nights at the Fenix in early March. The location is central in the small town and just a half a block from the beach walkway, which is being expanded at this time. We loved the upstairs patios and ate several of our meals in the restaurant. The coffee is awesome, especially with the backdrop of the town coming alive each morning. The family-style atmosphere added to our excellent experience in Cuyutlan. Olivia and Geoff are gracious and helpful hosts. This is definitely someplace we will return.

“don't stay here... it's a rip off”

terrible food, terrible service, dogs in the restaurant, the owner sitting with a laptop all night long,,, every night, smoking, not helping... anyone could do better.

Anybody can have a bad day, Meg, you forgot to talk about the 4 or 5 families eating at the same time that you, and they were unhappy for your violet attitude at the restaurant.

This Hotel have being here, in my family since 1933, that tells you who was making a terrible performance.

You also forgot to tip the waiter, who makes a living from tips. Or the bad service was an excuse, because you eat all your food.

Will try to be better anyways, Thanks, Olivia.

“Fun place to stay”

We stayed there 2 nites on our way up the coast. Had a nice room upstairs-3 beds/private br./fan.
Good restaurant and bar downstairs and the best music compliments of Geoff (co-owner with wife Olivia). You never know what will be playing as he has an ecclectic collection!
The town is small-best for a visit to relax as the big attraction is the beach.
A good find for us.

Have never been to Cuyutlan before, went with a friend to shoot photos of the glorious beach and stayed at the Hotel Fenix, just 1 door off beach. Olivia, the owner, and her husband, Geoff (from the States) were perfect hosts! The music collection that played in the evenings is truly wonderous!

Great hospitality, neat little town, interesting things to do! I will definitely be back...and if you are interested in buying real estate here, Olivia is the perfect person!
