This was our 3rd year staying at the Sonoran Sun. This time we stayed in SE510. The room was clean, but the balcony needed cleaned as it was dusty & dirty. No big deal. The place is only 5 years old, but is already showing it's age. The fridge leaked water from the freezer down below into the fridge. There was already a catch bucket in place. The toilet also leaked water onto the tile floor. A hand towel kept that in check. The units now have their own internet access with an ethernet jack & wifi routers.A nice upgrade!
I want to Commend Aciel our host/checkin agent for going out of his way to help get the wifi up & running. There is no longer daily room service as there has been in previous stays. I had to call on day two to get a fresh supply of toilet paper & a new hand towel. The lack of service was no big deal, but they should leave a couple extra rolls of toilet paper for a 4 night stay. The rental rates have decreased & that was nice. We are still satisfied with the Sonoran Sun & will stay again.

We stayed here for 5 days in the "presidential suite" it was a corner unit on the 10th floor, I can't remember the room #. This room was absolutely stunning! It had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, laundry room...everything. The best part was the balcony by far. All of the sliding doors completely open for an amazing atmosphere. The balcony itself has lounge chairs and a dining set. We had 5 rooms between our group and ours was by far the best and the most beautiful, everyone ended up there every night. There is a great outdoor patio in the main area where a lot of the hotel guests hung out that had live music. I have stayed at over 15 places here (beach houses included) and nothing compares. I highly recommend it, and try to get our room if you can!

We have stayed in Rocky Point MANY times and have been going down for many years.In fact, we got married in the penthouse of this resort. This is by far one of our favorite places to stay in Rocky Point.The resort is beautiful... so well maintained,so clean, and the people are so helpful. The condos are beautiful. We like the two bedroom condos, with the master sliding glass door right on the patio looking toward the ocean. Our favorite condo is SW603...very nicely decorated,fabulous beds,so comfortable. We stayed there a whole month this summer and loved it. We bring all of our own food and beverages as we drive down from Phoenix. This condo is so well furnished that all you need is a beach towel. There is everything you need for cooking.You do, however, have many restaurants to choose from... we just love to stay at the condo. Once we get there we do not want to leave. Very laid back, mellow, quiet, romantic, and a special place. Try it... I think you will be pleased.

Me and my wife stayed at the Sonoran Sun about two months ago and loved it. We stayed in the sw side on the fifth floor and let me say the view was breathtaking. Every sunset in Rocky Point seems to be perfect. When we arrived our room was very clean and well equipped. My wife loved the styling to the condo. Had a very welcoming feel to it. The security in RP is great. We felt more than safe our whole trip. You can really tell they focus on the service and security of their guest. I booked us through Sea Side Reservations which was a breeze. I definitely am looking forward to working with them and going back to the Sonoran very soon.
