We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo ( B309) from Jan.2- 23 and it was absolutely beautiful . We dealt directly with the owners, so got a much better price ( go to www.bestvacationcondo.com) and they were fantastic to deal with. Since it's Mexico, we ran into a few problems, and all we had to do was contact the owners, or Victor at the front desk, and things were resolved. The resort is a little far from Old Port, so you need a vehicle. The place was pretty well deserted, because of the ailing economy, so we felt like we were in our very own place ! There are 3 pools, but only one was heated, and the grounds were immaculate. We were supposed to get daily maid service, but after day 3 without a maid, we called the desk - speak only to Victor, nobody else seems too inclined to act ! - and then the maids started coming more often, although still not every day. The T.V. service is really bad, and since the weather was bad near the end of the stay, we wished it was better - only 4 channels, one of which is Spanish. We went to the homeowners Assn. office and they said they were working on it. You should get free water bottles; after waiting for 3 days, I called the office and was told we'd have to pay for more - we had to clear that up with Victor, too. Internet service was iffy, best outside on the patio. We spent a lot of time in Old Port, and the merchants were all really friendly .Look up Miguel down by the Malecon, he's awesome, and needs business !
