We arrived to the hotel at 9:30 am. Of course there were no rooms available and were told to check back at 1:00. At that time I had requested a room an an upper floor. I was told to ask for it when we returned at 1:00. Upon returning, the room was still not available but was told that we did get a 4th floor room and to come back in an hour. When we returned they gave us our keys and as we were walking away they stopped us to tell us that the manager had just taken our room. I put a stink and long story short, we got the room. The room was very, very nice. We just loved it. Room 804. On our second night there we met a young couple at happy hour there at the hotel. After the bar closed at 9:00 we invited them up to our room for a drink. They were just floored when they walked into our room. They could not believe how nice our room was compared to theirs. We had reserved the same type of room. Single room/ocean front. And paid the same price. They insisted we go down to their room right away to see the difference. Okay......... I was just floored at how nasty their room was. First of all it smelled. It had dirty blue carpet, very old furniture, a god ugly painting on the entire wall and the celing fan was missing but the light fixture was still there, so just exposed light bulbs. This room was not fit for for young guys on spring break yet alone this beautiful young couple. And even worse, it was on the first floor so they didn't even have a view. They were in room 501. This room wasn't worth $40.
We would love to go back to this hotel but it probably won't happen for fear that we might end up with a room like that.

i enjoy my stay here at PB. There was a guy at the front counter in the moring kind of rude, but everthing else great. I have also stayed at Loas Mar it was nice also both where good but pricei

I stayed there for two weeks, the hotel is nice, it has all the things you need to rest, if you want a quiet stay this is the place for you, however if you are looking for the most comfort there are other options in Puerto Peñasco.

On the night turn the person that is in charge of the lobby delivers great service, however, there is another guy in there, mostly in the mornings, who was disrespectful with us.

Playa Bonita is one of our family's favorite hotel/resort. We have been going year after year for a long time. Very convenient hotel which includes restaurant and a bar. We enjoyed all the time we spend at the hotel beaches! Since all the other resorts have been sprouting all over the beaches at Puerto Penasco, Playa Bonita has been increasing the rates but has not remodeled or changed anything to their rooms, therefore this year we are willing to give up Playa Bonita and try another hotel or resort for the first time after a lot of years. Although, I highly recommend Playa Bonita for all those years of good experiences!!
