We stayed in this hotel because we were going to a wedding and I was very impresed. It is very important to me to stay in good clean hotels with at least a 4 star rating and this hotel meet all my expectations. Most inportant they found me a nani with a very short notice and she was great (we took her with us everywhere). The hotel front desk was excellent, better than some 5 star hotels I have stayed in. Not too kid friendly but excellent for business travel.

A serviceable hotel in Durango, the capital of the Mexican state of Durango. I just spent two nights there on business. Serviceable, clean, and well-maintained. But, despite what the hotel signage may imply (5 stars), we're firmly in 3 star territory here. That's not bad, but El Gobernador is far from world class. As an interesting aside, breakfast at the Gobernador seems to be the place to be and to be seen among the leaders of Durango, both public and private sectors.
