Just returned from a 5 day trip to Iceland with 2 days at Hotel Budir. The hotel is the epitome of quiet sitting on the coast surrounded by nothing but unspoilt natural beauty with stunning views from all rooms. Rooms are comfortable and adequately appointed and hotel service is uniformly friendly and efficient. Food is simply outstanding and the wine list offers a wide range of decent wines at prices that are not high by Icelandic standards. The scenery and outdoor opportunities are singular and excellent.

Relaxing and enjoying weekend with exellent food. We had nice room under the roof that gave a comfortable feeling listening to the rain outsite. The location is just wonderfull.

We recently stayed at Hotel Budir for 3 nights after Christmas. With more snow than usual, our outside activities were somewhat limited, but the hotel was very comfortable and the food was shockingly good. We were disappointed not to see the northern lights due to the snow. We would highly recommend the hotel to others, wishing you better weather.

We were here between xmas and new year, during their heaviest snow fall in 25 years...apparently. Despite not being able to travel anywhere and see any of the sites, It was the perfect relaxing place to be snowed in, great food, great wine and great fun rolling down the snow covered sand dunes. We stayed in the master suite with 2 extra beds for the children, this worked out well and we had 3 aspects to look out on in search of the Northern Lights, which we did see!
