Rented unit A-004 from sol maya rentals. Right in front of the ocean, amazing view and super private and calm. We had the waterfront pool and beach chairs to ourselves practically the whole week, and this was during high season. The bedding and the matresses could be a little more confortable, and the decor feels cheap and could use an update (plastic plants are not romantic at all) but the value for what you pay for is excelent, and overall we had a wonderful vacation in this unit.

I found this place after eight trips to Mexico through a tour by accident. I wish I had found it sooner. It is on a peninsula with the ocean on one side and a beautiful harbor on the other side. All around the harbor are shops and restaurants that make it fun to walk around. The whole town is gated so it is a very safe place. We stayed in Chac Hal Al which is gated also which seemed a little over safe. The place has two pools overlooking the Caribbean, a beautiful well kept beach with loungers and cabanas always available. In the harbor there was a dolphin park where you could swim with them or watch other people. They have fishing boats, yachts, diving boats, sail boats there so every water activity is available and fun to watch them. Right outside the gate is Xcaret water park, Xplor with zip lines and Akumal with great diving & snorkeling. This has to be the most beautiful spot in the world to vacation!

Over the christmas holiday my family went to playa del carmen. We stayed at the Chac Ha condominiums across the street from the Reef resort. We rented Gordon Paxmans unit number 203 which we rented off vrbo. the unit was very nice and accomodated our family of 4 (two teenage boys) very nicely. Two seperate bedrooms , one with a queen and the other with two twin beds. Two bathrooms ,kitchen, living room, dining room, and nice balcony. Our stay was from 12/20/09 to 12/29/09 . The weather was great for us the whole time and the beach was wonderful in front of the Reef Club.

We've just returned from a very relaxing stay at E302. The condo is nicely furnished and in good condition. We enjoyed being so close to the restaurants and activities, but it was still quiet after 9:00 pm. Chac Hal Al has a very nice beach area , not crowded at all. We loved opening up the sliders and letting the ocean breeze blow through. Everyone is friendly and helpful. This is our fifth stay in Mexico - three times in Playa del Carmen, twice here. I don't think I'll ever go back to Playa. Puerto Aventuras is small, quiet, and the beach is much calmer. Great snorkling right out our door. We just love it here and can't wait to return.
