“Great accomodations-Great Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

The accomodations at this resort are as nice or nicer than any 5 star resort without the 5 star resort prices. Spacious 2 bedroom - 2 bath condo that can easily sleep 6 people with dining sitting for 10 people. Nothing is needed for a shorterm or longterm stay other than your toothbrush and clothes. The resort offers a beautiful pool, jucuzzi, propane barbeque pits, comfortable cushioned lounge chairs, bicycles, kayaks and a small private beach. The central town area is a short walk from your villa with many great little restaurants and shops that overlook the Dolphin pond area where you can view people swimming with trained Dolphins. It is hard to runout of things to do here with beautiful beaches, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, snorkling, kayaking, catamaran tours, golf and tennis; all available for your use right outside your door. You can't beat the accomodations, hospitality and price at this resort. I will be back and I highly recommend my friends to visit this resort on their next vacation.

Room Tip: All the room locations are great with good views. First floor if you want to walkout directly to the...

“Great condo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

My family, including three teen-age daughters, stayed at Club Aventuras over Christmas. We had a two bedroom condo and we had a great time. It's very luxurious with marble floors and bathrooms and very nice furnishings. Great balcony too.
Our location on the Marina was very convenient to the central dolphin pool area where the restaurants are, and we ate there most nights. Most of the places we ate were OK, although you should avoid the sushi place. Every roll comes with cream cheese.
We had a car, so we traveled to Playa Del Carmen for dinner some nights, and we also went to Chichen Itza.
Puerto Aventuras is a very secure gated community 25 minutes south of Playa. It's kind of sterile. But it's very relaxing. The beaches are good, although the Club's beach facility, which you have to use if you want chairs -- was disappointing. It doesn't matter though. Beaches in Mexico are public, and if you just walk through the nearby Omni hotel lobby, you end up on a half mile of beautiful beach.
There's good snorkeling off the beach -- you can rent masks at the dive shop for $5 a day. Or you can charter a boat or go on one of the boat tours to a really beautiful reef just north of the resort.

“Couldn't ask for better...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

We visited Aventuras Club Marina from Nov 22-Nov 28 2011 for our honeymoon. We stayed here after staying a week at Secrets Maroma Beach, and came very last minute on a recommendation from my brother. We asked for availability on the morning of the 22nd, hoping to get in that day.
While the staff said they were booked up for the next week, they did a fantastic job finding us a suite in the building anyways. A beautiful, HUGE 2 bedroom suite.
After staying at Secrets Maroma we thought we might be underwhelmed, but it was quite the opposite. Aventuras Club was the highlight of our 2 week stay in the Riviera Maya.

Food: There are some good restaurants around, 'The Pub' has really good breakfast and lunch. We went to Gringos for dinner and salsa dancing one night too. All food in the restaurants around the marina are great, but everything is on par with Canadian prices.... so compared with cooking/drinking at home in Mexico, it is expensive. Fun nights out when bands are playing though. Just be prepared, it isn't cheap. Great for a special night out though.
Food: We LOVED being able to cook at home at Aventuras Club. Super Chedraui (like Canadian Superstore) is a 20 minute walk away (ask Estella or anyone else in the lobby how to get there), groceries are cheap cheap cheap, and you can cook as good of, if not better, dinners than you can get in restaurants for half the price. You have all the dishes/utilensils etc you need to cook in your room. Liquor is also cheap (CAN $3.50 bottles Malbec and $8.50 26oz. Jose Cuervo).
Rooms: We were blown away by how spacious the accommodations were. Not only was it huge, but decorated in the most gorgeous way. We could have entertained 6-8 people in the suite and still been comfortable. They had everything required; this place was nicer than any 2 bedroom condo downtown in our city. Cleaned beautifully every day. Our favorite part was the patio. We had two beautiful loungers in a separate area on the deck that got lots of sun. We even brought out sheets and slept on them one night. There was a large glass table with a view of the marina that we ate at every morning and every evening... heaven.
Beach: Most amazing beach a 10 minute walk away.... Just bring your drinks, water, towels, and a great day is waiting. Bring snorkel stuff as there are some fish out there.
Pool: BEST pool ever! The pool keeper man was like nothing we have ever seen.... he was SO thorough, and would spend hours cleaning the pool every morning (even though we had only seen 3-4 people enter the pool per day). We had no doubt the pool was spotless. Not only that, it was beautiful. Hanging beds and such. Just amazing.

The only complaint: We loved everything about this place and will probably come back every year. This isn't necessarily the fault of the hotel, but we had a group of 40-55 year olds (probably 10-15 of them) staying next to us and under us that seriously disturbed the last three days of our trip. We are 25-30 year old honeymooners that like to party and drink, but the neighbors acted like 18 year old college spring-breakers on a bender. They were obnoxious and loud (from 8am beer drinking horse play to 1am music playing outside yelling).... Again no fault of the hotel itself as the staff was amazing and attentive. Just wish this was an issue that didn't have to be dealt with. Oh well.
GREAT place though. 10 thumbs up.

Room Tip: Second floor was great

“Best vacation ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

We just stayed at Aventuras Club, an amazing experience!

The unit was much bigger than we expected and with beautiful finishing, believe Bali-style. Extremely comfortable beds, perfect to sleep in and get a real vacation rest:)

The location is very very convenient, only 2 minutes walking distance to the restaurants, shops, bars, convenients stores, swim with the dolphins and more. Aventuras is also well located, 10 minutes to Playa del Carmen and 20-25 minutes to Tulum for day-trips. Highly recommend Akumal only 15 minutes south to swim with seaturtles and snorkeling at the coral reef, a must!

We stayed at the top floor which we enjoyed very much because of the spectacular view, waking up to the CAribbean ocean and marina with yachts, sail boats..

We paid less for our whole family than a hotel room for 2 people, also saved quiet a lot on food since we could prepare our food, has a full kitchen, with 6 people it adds up.

What stands out the most of our trip was the service, incredible staff who are more than happy to help with anything you need.

We will be back next year!
