Holiday Inn Express is a beautiful hotel. The rooms were very large but a little weird set-up. The floor had a promonade which circle an open atrium. The rooms had a small hallway off the main walkway and each room faced the other door.
The room itself had a small hallway with bathroom to the right and bedroom central and on right. Bed was comfy and again clean and new. Bathroom clean.
The Atrium of the hotel had the breakfast area and a bar at night.
The Breakfast was a combination of Continental and some Mexican. It was okay but not the best.
I didn't use the Exercise Room or Swimming Pool. One of my associates did and said it was very well set-up.

Note: there two close restaurants next to the Hotel, one a good but little pricy steakhouse and another a Mexican Restaurant.

Spent two nights here on business. After having slept in many Mexican hotels with beds hard as a rock, this one was quite the contrast. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The AC worked perfectly, the TV had cable with several English channels, and the grounds were clean and well-maintained. There was a large, protected parking lot with security, which was a real plus. The breakfast buffet was typical Mexican, but it was fresh and appealing. The hotel staff was pleasant and even allowed us to check in early. All in all, a very pleasant experience. I'd definitely stay here again.

This is a great choice to stay in San Luis Potosi, it is not too far from the beutiful historic center. The hotel seems to be new, they have nice rooms with comfy beds and quiet A/C, they include breakfasts in all their rooms and they have a outdoors heated pool, just perfect to finish your day after sightseeing in the city. Wifi may fail inside the rooms.

I travel frequently on business to Mexico and in most cases stay at Holiday Inn Express. I find them to be clean, the beds comfortable and the staff friendly and efficient and in general secure. I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express San Luis Potosi twice and will not stay there again. Throughout Mexico you will see the use of the energy saving light bulbs but this hotel carries it too far! The room at night is like a cave. So dark you cannot read in the room. There is no bedside lamp. Upon check-in you are given a coupon for a "Free Drink" in the bar. They neglect to tell you it's only beer. After being on the road for 7 hours all I wanted was a shower and a relaxing evening with my local colleagues. The water pressure was fairly good but the temperature couldn't be regulated. I always travel with my own hair dryer but had difficulty finding an outlet to plug into and an area that I could see myself to do it. All women, be it for business or leisure want a mirror we can see ourselves in to put on our make-up. If you do stay at this hotel make sure you use the chain on the door and put your laptop in the safe. While coming out of the shower my door was unlocked and opened. I shouted and the door immediately closed. I called the front desk and was told that I must have been mistaken. NOPE not staying there again!
