The reviews in Trip Advisor were correct. What is it with the tents. We ended up in smoking rooms and were unable to change the rooms. The staff seemed inexperienced and check out took a while.

I'm not sure why this place isn't rated higher. We stayed at the Westin for a few days and were less than impressed with the food, the pool, and the mosquitos in the rooms.

We moved to the Holiday and really enjoyed it. There's nothing within walking distance, but it's close to both the industrial zone and the old city (5-10 minute drive from each) plus everyone at the hotel was very nice, with good food and a great pool. Book the executive floor, which has nicer rooms and sometimes an evening spread. If there's no evening spread, go to the front desk and ask for a drink voucher for the downstairs lounge.

Stayed here for business for 2 months and every day there was a white tent outside my window and a new loud party going on and even a wedding on a Wednesday with at least 500 people. When I wanted to use the pool there were always these parties going on.My air conditioner broke 2 times and was never resolved so I bought a fan!

I stayed at this Holiday Inn for eight weeks (Aug-Sep 2006) and found it to be adequate. The construction\remodeling was just beginning during my stay so it really didn't present much of an inconvenience. The restauant had good food and a nice variety.

The location was much more convenient to the Industrial Zone than staying at the Westin.

Check to see if the red, white and blue net is still on the basketball goal. I took it down with me and it did take them three weeks to put it up but it was nice to shoot hoops during the eight week stay.
