I just got back from a wonderful vacation, The whole little town was so friendly, I felt safe and welcome. This hotel is very clean spacius rooms and the staff were so nice and informative, they have parking as well. I wish I could have stayed more days.

I returned to this quaint, traditional, quiet Hotel in Barra after several years and it didn't dissapoint. This family owned little hideaway has wonderful english speaking management and staff, a great little breakfast buffet and a nice pool with comfortable lounge chairs, for less than $50.00 a night! There is plenty of hot water and the staff goes out of their way to help you. The other guests are pleasant and I would estimate that 90% have stayed at the Delfin before. Any concerns about security at this place are ridiculous. First of all, Barra itself is extremely safe. The Delfin employs a night watchman, which isn't really necessary, but it makes any guest feel more comfortable who might otherwise be concerned. The front door is locked at night but you get a key to that door with your room key and the watchman is sitting there anyway. For value in a traditional, quaint , quiet hideaway, this is my favorite hotel in Mexico. I speak the language and have traveled extensively in Mexico.

Clean, convenient, good breakfast can be negotiated when checking in. Secure parking across the street, good WiFi, nice pool and balconies with chair & table.

Returned with my wife for the fourth time in nine years to "Barra" & Hotel Delfin. A family owned & run hotel built by Marta's mother and now run by her son Stefan & wife Claudia. It retains its charm & welcoming hospitality. New energy and upgrades are evident. The mix of Canadian, American, European & Mexican clientele is friendly and relaxed. Most stay for several days, a week, a month, or even longer. It's very easy to feel at home here. It's close to Barra's two main streets with many restaurants and shops within easy walking. Being a short distance from the beach, its much quieter at night when the ocean waves are heavy. Great breakfasts available on the deck.
