I was taking a solo trip in mexico and stayed at hotel delfin for 3 nights. The rooms are spottless and the views from the upper floors are fantastic!!!! The young couple that runs and owns the hotel are so nice and very helpful with anything and every question you may have!!!! Beautiful pool to cool off in and close walk to great restraunts and bars!!!!!

We (two couples) stayed two nights at Hotel Delfin late March 2011. The hotel was clean, well maintained and an excellent value. It is not a place for those looking for lots of amenities, but if you want gracious hosts (bi-lingual) and basic comfort I doubt you could do better. We stayed on the top floor with beautiful views of the lagoon from the shared balcony. No breakfast was served, but cups and hot water were produced each morning so we could make our own coffee before venturing out. The owners gave us endless advice on Barra as well as arranging an outing to the mountains to visit a coffee cooperative run by indigenous women. We continued from Barra into the mountains on a loop recommended by our hosts and had a wonderful time with the help of their excellent advice.

We live in nearby Manzanillo, but wanted to take a couple of days to see Barra and Melaque. The owner/manager of Hotel Delfin was very helpful and kind, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the only drawback was there was no TV in the room. So, since we had been walking all day anyhow, we went to bed at 8:30. The rooms don't have private balconies, sort of a shared one that you walk down to your room door. It overlooks the pool and on the upper floors gives a view of the bay.

The swimming pool is heated by the same solar system as the hot water, and although it was not "warm", it was warm enough for me and I usually only swim in the summertime. This was in March. They have a nice little restaurant for breakfast, but it was not open on the day we were there. It's located one block from the bay and 1/2 block from the main street, easy walking distance to everything in town.

Overall, a very clean and comfortable and we would go back again.

I just got back from a wonderful vacation, The whole little town was so friendly, I felt safe and welcome. This hotel is very clean spacius rooms and the staff were so nice and informative, they have parking as well. I wish I could have stayed more days.
