Very spacious. We had a beautiful suite, which was an apartment with living room, bedroom, two bathrooms, and a tiny kitchen (no stove), balcony, and two TV's. Beautiful decor and amenities. Antonio's Restaurant was truly gourmet. Only negatives -- not enough variety for breakfast, and poor beach - slimy bottom and muddy water.

Stayed for a week in Nov booked through Transat . Paid for a luxury suite but it just seemed like an average suite. The food was so so and two tiered. One menu for Trans At guests one for everyone else. Hotel was empty which suited me and it is a very nice property with great views decor and pool. The beach is not appealing for swimming. The $10./day for internet seemed a rip off. In this day and age I don't know why hotels try and whizz you on this. Lots of free wifi in Barra. Ate out a lot as food was just so so. Don Ramon and Los Arcos in Barra were good as well as Marys in Colimilla. We took a complimentary shuttle to the beach and hiked some stairs to a really nice secluded beach. In fairness to Grand Bay the irritants regarding the second class food and room that was not as advertised was more do to Trans At. The staff was good although they had to sort out this wierd billing system for the all inclusive. It made for more work for them and a hassle for guests. Nice secluded hotel but will not likely be back.

My family and I had a wonderful time here for Christmas. The hotel is beautiful and the service was great, the food was also very good. The best part about this hotel is all the activities, a great pool, a private beach (by reservation), a beach for hotel guest, a small town across the lake, golf, etc. The best best best activity we did was take a small boat tour to see whales, something we all talk about with great laughs.

Thanks so much for all the great moments we spent there last week, we got to have 2 nights in this great resort.
We got spoiled by the staff, enjoyed pretty much our meals and had fun at the pools and my girls enjoyed the kids club.

A very important event from the tourism national board was taking place at the hotel facilities, but all the staff specially Marcela the concierge and Mayra the receptionist were there to help us with our questions and necesities.
Just to clarify that this resort is not located in Barra de Navidad, Jalisco but in Manzanillo Colima, hope Trip Advisor team can correct this information.
