Stayed here for 1 night, passing through Puebla, based on others good reviews. The only room they had available was 795 pesos, for 2 twin beds, however they could be moved together quite easily.
The building dates back to the 1600s, and has an amazing, old style elevator with an attendant. However, there are occasional times when an attendant does not answer the buzzer and you have to walk. These old stairs are not fun with suitcases. That only happened to us once though.
Beautiful rooftop terrace with a nice view. Quiet side street, about 2 blocks from the zocalo. Safe area, pleasant walk at night.
Rooms are budget, although clean. Hair dryer and basic toiletries. Very, very thin walls. Could actually here the conversation of people next door to us. Not just the mumbling, but words! Nice sitting areas all around on each floor.
Good value for the location. On our way back through, we stayed at the Santiago on the other side of the zocalo, which was only slightly less nice, but at 450 pesos, a much better value.
