I stayed at this hotel for the first time. Been to Puebla many times but never stayed in this part of town. The hotel is one block from Juarez Avenue which has dozens of great restaurants. Since I had decided not to rent a car this trip, I wanted to be able to walk to everything. It was a good choice from that point of view. Great location.
The decor? Well, the 1980's are alive and well in this hotel. The place is spotless. Just dated. Everything. I kept thinking how stunning the place would look with a coat of white paint and a splash of color here and there. A 32" LCD TV. Brown woods. Beige walls. 21" CRT TV. A functional but cramped bathroom.
Those negatives aside, this hotel is reasonably priced. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. There was always a taxi when I needed it too.
The hotel seems to be popular with Mexican travelers, both families and business people. The area is safe and the many restaurants are some of the best I have been to in Puebla.
