We did stay in this hotel operation for 2 nights during a weekend. While we made the reservation we were not told that during the same day a wedding would take place until early Sunday morning. Beside other short comings for a hotel marketing itself as 5 star deluxe property, we all felt this was a terrible short coming from the sales department.
The location is nice and yes I fully agree it is an architectural very impressive achievement, however in the end of the day, this is just one small standard which makes a 5 star hotel shine and work out well.
Friendliness of all employees was perfect more so while we did have some grounds of complains this never changed, I would say that their employees are the back bone of this property.
Food & Beverage served were good, however nothing special but for sure of good quality. The Guest rooms however were by far not what we did expect to find paying close to 300 USD a night. No bath rope, no safety box, TV did not work well and had no English speaking channels, internet did not work in the room, no slippers and no turn down service.
For a hotel of this kind, being part of a leading Mexican hotel collection I feel that upgrade in their Guest rooms, Guest Amenities as well as additional Guest services would make a huge difference and for sure would greatly benefit their Quality Standards. Further a general face lift could do wonders for the overall service and product image of this property.
For the time we can only rate what we saw and what we did expect to find, we did not find what we came for.
