Drove into Morelia from Mexico City and spent an hour checking out hotels. Hotel Plaza was the best of the bunch in our price range. Looked at some other hotels at twice the price that were not as good. The staff could not have been more helpful. Our triple room had a divider for the 3rd bed with it's own TV. Very clean, good beds, great shower, towels, etc. Rooms very tastefully done. Location is great. Two minute walk to the main plaza. Did not have to use our car at all. Secure car parking is 1 1/2 blocks away. Did not feel comfortable leaving the rental car on the street at night. Will stay there on our next trip. Cost was around $40 US for the 3 of us with a voucher for parking included. Excellent english spoken.
Summary: Top of the bunch for an excellent, secure, economical, travelers hotel.
