Lovely food, helpful staff but the Hotel needs some investment. In places it is a bit too dated.

Some of the rear bedrooms are small, go for a sea view worth paying the extra for.

Just spent a wonderful weekend at Lantern Lodge. Spotlessly clean, excellent service, great location and the food exceptional !

We booked at the very last moment, and later found that we managed to reserve the room due to a late cancellation just an hour or so before!
What luck, as we had the four poster room with the three windows overlooking the cove and the complete bay - could have stayed in bed all day looking at the view - just wonderful.
From the moment we stepped through the door we felt such a warm welcome as we were shown round the hotel, before being taken to our room by the friendly staff member (sorry I cannot remember her name!).
The food was fantastic and the service excellent, and we were so impressed by the menu which changes on a daily basis. We felt so looked after in every respect and the only mistake made on this two day stay was that we didn't book for longer, but we will be back and that's a promise!

We stayed at this lovely hotel for our recent honeymoon - the hotel is full of old-fashioned charm and the staff there cannot do enough for you. With amazing food and breath-taking views we will definintely be back for another visit.
