My daughter and I just spent 10 days in Los Cabos.....for half that time I had the pleasure of staying at Buzzard's bar and grill (la fonda del mar B&B) on the fringe of the Mexican baja outback. The road ends at Buzzard's but it's only 30 minutes from the San Jose airport and 10 minutes from the mega store. Beyond this point 4 wheel drive and full tanks of gas are recommended, but the beaches, private coves, snorkelling, fishing and scenic beauty is outstanding.
I would highly recommend this small, friendly and quaint B&B if you like the idea of tiki shack cabana's on a secluded beach with no TV.no phones, no stress complete with an outstanding chef and interesting and gregarious host/owner Pablo.
For me this was an ideal relaxing, barefoot, sun and sand place to be....never any timeshare solicitation or high pressure sales pitches.
Also you like sport fishing like I do you are a panga ride away from Gordo Banks some of the best fishing in the world, ask for Jaymie at Cabo Playa fishing tours.
Also we arrived 2 months after the new Canadian owner Paul took possesion after purchasing Buzzard's from the original owners Denny and Judi.
For a natural, holistic, carefree holiday off the grid this is it!....but a vehicle is highly recommended

We visitd Buzzards again this year and loved it, we enjoy the frendly service and down to earth workers always ready to help make your stay great. We visited the resurant the first day we arriived in Mexico for dinner it was great good sizes and great prices. The owners and workers are able to speak english and are very helpfull. The place is small but very comfortable and clean. We hope to stay again next year the only reason we did not stay this years was we had 6 people and they did not have enough room when we went to book it. Love the place and can not wait to return.

We were supposed to stay here for one night but after a hotel gave our reservation away in Todos Santos we decided to take our chances and show up early. Boy are we glad. This is the cutest boutique hotel and run by a lovely couple. The accomadation are 4 little bungalows practically on the beach. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the price was very resonable. We were so glad that we stayed here instead of some big overpriced resort. The hotel is a bit out of the way but it is on a very nice, practically deserted beach that you can have all to yourself. The breakfast is included in the price and it is amazing. You can order off the menu and it is made fresh, I do believe it was the beast breakfasts we had in our 2 week Baja vacation. Definately stay here if you are planning a trip to this area!

This is the prefect vacation spot if you like being included in the local ambience. It's far from the "tourist" scene but offers great food at reasonable prices under an open air palapa and walking on the beach is a stones throw away. The rooms are clean and comfortable but it is unlikely you will spend much time in them. #4 has it's own shower and is very spacious the other three share a shower. If that bothers you, then you probably don't have the kind of personality that fits. Yoga is just down the road 2 days a week. Classes are outside overlooking the surf. Gorgeous! Judy and Denny are wonderful hosts and make you feel like they have invited you into their home. You will love this place if you don't like commercialism and appreciate the eco- friendly. San Jose is a 20 minute drive and offers a lot of old world charm, interesting shopping and some wonderful art galleries.
