“THE BEST Vacation in 20 years!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

We are 50's couple who travels extensively and this was the best vacation we've had in 20 years.

Temptations is NOT a mega resort/hotel. This is a GOOD thing, because the service is much more personal. The staff will get to know your face or name. They'll have your favorite drink set up for you by your 2nd or 3rd time to the bar!

OVER 21 - ALL ADULT - ALL INCLUSIVE - need I say more????

This place is IMMACULATE. I swear they sweep the floors 24/7. Our room was never overlooked - had rose petals on the bed when we'd come back from lunch, etc. Our maid even made a point to "organize" the sink everyday that was filled with my make-up, hair products, etc. Decor is funky, kinda retro 60's ala Austin Powers with leather, red, black, white - FUN!

The FOOD - I will qualify by saying we used to own several award-winning restaurants in the U.S. The food was 95% on par with anything you'd get in NYC, Chicago, etc. A few times the Asian Fusion restaurant fell a little short as to their menu, so I'd suggest if eating there to go with the fresh Hibiachi. The buffets were exceptional, all hot food hot and cold food cold + cook to order items like steak, prawns, pork chops, etc.. The pool side lunch is good and they offered salad bar, hot buffet + some cook to order items and dessert. BAR - NOT watered down, good tropical drinks, top shelf like Jack Daniels, Myers Rum, etc. and local mexican beers. We were there for New Years Eve and the nighly buffet was incredible with all kinds of inventive side dishes, salads and desserts.

NOTE: While we were there, Breakfast was served from 7 am - noon, poolside lunch open from noon to 6 pm and dinner served in both main restaurants from 7pm - 11 pm - munchies were served in the Disco around midnight to close (usually 2-3 am) So, it's pretty hard to go hungry there!

LOCATION: Oceanside, with roof-top jacuzzi (more like a huge heated pool) + pool with swim up bar - gorgeous sunsets while lounging on canopy beds along the beach, etc etc.
About 20-30 minutes from Downtown Cabo San Lucas - which is a good thing, since downtown CSL is like walking around Disneyland, seriously. You can catch the bus for about $3 or take a taxi for $30 each way - if you are going into CSL - round up a couple of people to share the cab with you since most of the taxis are mini-vans.

RECREATION: FUN! Ok, it can get a little silly, but the staff has games galore all day long for anyone who wants to play and usually you win something - from a tour in CSL to extra nights at the resort. The staff is fun, crazy and is there to help you have a good time. From beach volleyball to tequila water polo! Stay up late and check out the disco - theme nights are fun! We got to be pirates, pop singers from the 60's and more.

TOPLESSNESS: Surprisingly, being there at high season, only about 30% of the women opted for topless. Not a big deal and it wasn't skeevie.

PEOPLE/GUESTS: We met all ages from all places. Everyone there to chill and have a good time and a good time we ALL had. It was nice to not have screaming kids running around while their parents yelled at them all day - ADULTS ONLY - YESSSS !!!!!

SYNOPSIS: Great location, excellent staff, clean rooms, strong drinks, yummy food and service up the wazoo - what more could you want???

Room Tip: No elevators - request ground floor if you don't like stairs!

“Too bad it is changing”

Had a great week at this resort, the atmosphere was excellent. Nice to vacation at a resort with topless area. The food was the best I have ever had at an all inclusive. Small layout here with very nice rooms. I am sad that it is switching to desires in May. This will prevent a return visit to this resort. The whole area is wonderful, Cabo Wabo, snorkling is near at small coves. Great trip.

Room Tip: I would chose a ground floor next time, easier to get around

“Unique resort - not for everyone”

Small resort, food good but limited selection because of size. Optional topless is casual and not a big deal. Beds and rooms comfortable, clean and shower (no tubs) really nice.
Late night activities for night owls and party animals.
Would not choose again, but mainly because swimming and snorkeling not available.

“A nice resort to have fun and relax”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

This resort is for you......if you want to stay at a smaller All - inclusive Adult orientated ....topless optional resort. We had never been to one before, so we were not quite sure what to exspect. Check in is at exactly 3;00 pm. If you arrive early they will put red wrist bands on you to explore, drink and eat.... or sit by the pool. After checking in, you are asked if you would like to attend a "membership presentation" we did not attend.
Our room had nice decor, The bed was firm, short and wide (kingsize) the pillows were a little to firm. You may want to bring your own. There is a small fridge (which has 2 beer, one large water and 2 cans of Coke), with a safe right above it. So the items you put in the safe get quite warm...from the heat of the fridge. ?The bathroom only has a shower. The shower door is also the toilet door. There is a TV - and much to our surprise had some uh interesting adult shows on 2 of the channels. The only real complaint we had with our room (Room 146) was that every morning at 7:30 am you could hear a garbage truck arrive at the resort next door.....and make lots of noise. A good alarm clock if you want to wake up at that time of the morning.

There are 3 restaurants on the resort. One that has a different smorgesbord every night, and is open for breakfast every morning. Another one that serves lunch, and a Asian restaurant that has a menu. Which you can have a 5 course meal, or you can choose to sit at a table with others and have an open grill meal. They are both good. The restaurants that serve dinner are open at 7pm. The servers work very hard and are very friendly. The only complaint is that smoking was allowed out on the patio, where it was more romantic place to have dinner. So we ate inside most of the time.
There was a good combination of food for breakfast, and even desert too.
The lunch could have had more of selection of food. Maybe more authentic Mexican food.

The pool side was a fun place to hang out at. There is no reserving the pool chairs but people do any how.The music would start early in the morning, but it would be a little calmer music, coffie music. Then as the day went by the music would get louder and more electropop kind music....They had quite a few different kinds of activities. Stretching classes, water arobics, with slight body contact with others, back massages, and then a fun question at the end of each session. step classes, Volleyball, Salsa dance classes, adult bingo, and other fun adult orientated games. It is topless optional, so there are woman with only bottoms on, or string bikins. So if this makes you uncomfortable, or you dont want your partner to look at others,,,, this is not the resort for you. The staff that conduct the activities are very friendly, and work long shifs. The pool is warm, and has a swim up bar. If you want a stronger drink then ask for a double. The staff at the bar, work hard too, and are VERY friendly.

There is a huge hot tub which is outside and up on a higher level. It also has a swim up bar. There is an area with couches in which you can relax on, or tables you can sit at. It is open at night and can get quite crazy as the night goes on.

There is a Disco, which is inside, and is usually open till 3 am. They play very loud pumping electropop music every night.....

Even though they say the beach is not swimable, you can still take a quick dip, between the waves coming in. There is a long stretch of beach which is nice to go for a stroll down. You can go horseback riding for $20 dollars an hr. $25 at for a Sunset ride. We did this.....very nice. If you look out into the ocean you may see Stingrays jumping out of the water. Yes jumping.

The night entertainment, which is outside is good. They have fun adult orientated events,(a different one each night) and a live band one night. The only drawback is that if you are not a smoker. Depending on which way the wind is blowing you may be smoked out. There are ALOT of smokers.
If you want to go into town......there is a local bus which you pay 18p for, or you can take a cab for $15 or if you want a 45 min walk....you can walk. Lots of great art stores, and restaurants are there and a "Art walk) thursday nights.

All in all its a nice resort. Would we go back again? I am not sure

Room Tip: Try and get a room away from the entertainment area, and away from the disco. Also a room on a highe...

“well relaxed”

Just returned home, met so many nice and open people including all the staff and so many of the guests. Relaxing the day away reading, napping etc by the pool was great. The music was great, entertainment staff warm, friendly and funny. Food was varied, fresh and well prepared. Resort is well maintained and clean with a good layout . Too bad the focus is switching in May to the full clothing optional as I am sure it will eliminate most of the guests who are not swingers or into sexual exhibitionism. It seemed so immature sometimes that the displays were for show or shock value. I thought when you booked all inclusive it came with a room. I and many others had no problem with the nudity, but the overt sexual acts in public by the few, was a bit much sometimes. If my wife and I want to watch porno, we will rent or buy it in private. All this being said it was a wonderful time and I for one wish it would not change, as we would love to go back.

Room Tip: It tends to be a bit noisy, but differant noises at differant time depending where you are. Noise fr...
