We just spent 5 nights at marina fiesta and found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful during our entire stay. location location location. this resort gave us the option to relax by the pool or spend the day at medano beach and shop all within the same area. We were booked to stay at Hacienda Encantada (their sister resort) but found out they were over booked during our dates. :( we made the best of it and ended up really enjoying our vacation.

Well, where to begin? I have been to Mexico and all over the world for that matter and although this is not the worst place I have been, on the contrary, it is a beautiful place. The service was horrible at this resort. Management? where? Initally I was put into a non-renovated room that faced the back lot with a view of garbage? I payed for a luxury suite and asked the desk clerk if this was one and he said no. I explained i had the paperwork in hand that I had paid for a luxury suite, he then changed the room to 347. In this room was a note on the desk stating that they had just fumigated the room...NICE I thought. I did not unpack as I was going to be moved one way or another. Needless to say, I am convinced that the bed had bed bugs as I awoke to many bites on my ankles.

Moving forward, It appears as if the staff is understaffed. at one point there was ONE bartender to service the so-called eating area as well as the pool. NO service here folks, we waited and waited and waited for drinks the entire trip. Making matters worse, I am a gracious tipper! I understand the wage there is $4.85 a day. A small tip is welcomed, a larger tip would ensure a drink every now and again? NOPE, did not matter.

Next room was 526, right above the main pool with a beautiful view of the marina, BUT very loud each and every night. The nights get a bit cool and you would like to open the screen door for the breeze, but to no avail there were parties uptown all night long.

Food at the Marina Fiesta is a farce! Breakfast is OK, plenty of fruit, cold cereal, but god for bid you want a cup of coffee or a refill..........forget about it. It was not until the day before we left that Lucio finally said, if you ever need anything, just holler out my name.

The food choices for the restaurants downstairs: Jack's was our fav spot and we received pretty good service there, although "the wait" must be the norm there. Italian was good. NEver bothered with the sushi joint as one of the staffers said that walmart had fresher sushi than that place. (did not want to risk getting sick on vacation, so we stayed away).

The location is about the only great thing about this place.

Oh, and stay away from the activities desk!!!!!! You think it there for activities? WRONG, it is the timeshare trap. Worse thing about that is that we went! They have one room set up all nice and pretty to "show" potential buyers, but truth is, none of the rooms look like that!

on the day before we went home, we could not get the fridge re-stocked with going to the front desk, talking to staff in the hall and finally i had the man call downstairs and get aggresive just to get some water.

i would not ever go back to this spot whatsoever. I may consider another location down the road, but for this avid travler, i am moving on to new locations....

I recommend the guys at dock B or D for your glass bottom boat trips, whale watching or fishing, they are very professional and nice to talk with.

Also, Kudos to the housekeeping staff for a wonderful job. work so very hard for $4.85 a day? just sad. I left her a tip everyday. She deserved it.

Would be nice if they came around to the 21st century and let some of the women work in the lounge, pool bar area and had some men cleaning!

OH and if you have an airport transfer back to the airport, make sure you ask the driver which terminal your flight goes out of or look at your paperwork. there are two terminals and IF you are lucky like us and one other couple, you will be dropped offf at the wrong one and will either hoof it with luggage in tow melting along the way, OR you will pay one of the vultures sitting there waiting to take you the distance for a hefty fee!

Room tip: be persistant for a room with a view and a renovated room.

The location is perfect if you want to explore downtown Cabo. Marina view is nice, but will go for an ocean view resort next time. Service was decent. Eder at the pool bar is fantastic! Our room was in a very noisy location. Workers painting every morning outside our room and a lot of traffic. The food was mediocre at best. The choices for restaurants are not great. Kind of a pain having to sign every single time you order a drink. Doesn't seem like they run tabs. We are happy we stayed there, but will not return.

Room tip: We stayed in room 113 and it was grand central station!

We returned from 7 nights in Cabo on March 3/12 and have to say that we really enjoyed ourselves at Marina Fiesta. Our rooms were perfect (Thanks Anibal), we had a gorgeous view of the pools (unbelievable at night). We stayed all inclusive and yes you have to sign every time you get anything, but not really a big deal.

We spent most of the first evening sitting at the pool bar. THANKS Carlos & Carlos - they are quite the pair of bartenders !!! Wish they were there every night, but they move the staff around to all the restaurants & bars ;(. To us they will always be know as Gigolo Carlos & Playboy Carlos !!!

We ate at most of the restaurants. No real big complaints about the food. Jacks seemed to be our favorite restaurant. We ate there for lunch and supper and they were good. The Italian restaurant was also good (my poor brother in-law doesn't remember the first two times we ate there though !!! - Too many White Russians!!)

The only real complaint that I would have, would be that not all cocktails were available at all restaurants (but not really a big deal - just tried some different drinks !!)

We never had a problem with any timeshare people and we will definitely be back.

Gracias Marina Fiesta (Anibal, Carlos, Carlos & some others - sorry can't remember any more names !!!)

Room tip: Ask for a renovated room overlooking the pool

Spent 7 nights at Marina Fiesta and took advantage of the all-inclusive option. It was a great deal.
We vacationed with 2 other couples. Two of us had newly renovated rooms on the 3rd floor overlooking pool and marina. Very nice, comfortable and clean. Third couple were on the 6th floor with beautiful view of marina, but their room was a little more dated. Still nice though!
No complaints about food or service, other than serivce maybe a bit slow at times. I guess a "Mexican minute" is a little longer than we're accustomed to? Read some complaining about having to sign for everything. We didn't find it that bothersome? I'd rather do that, than figure out right amount of cash/pesos each time. (Money tip: have lots of small bills - wherever you shop, if you pay in US $, change is given back in pesos. Learned it's a government regulation)
Marina Fiesta is a great location to see and experience Cabo San Lucas. Easy walking to beach, shopping, restaurants, and night life. We did have a rental van for driving to golf courses, but think we could've gotten by without it? (The whole car rental experience leaves you feeling like you've been violated and robbed!)
We did not have any problems with time-share salespeople. We were approached, but said "no thanks" and that was the end of it. Vendors on the street and the beach are quite agressive but they're just trying to make a living and all you have to do is say "no thanks".
Overall was a great trip! This was our second time staying at Marina Fiesta, and we would stay there again.

Room tip: Don't insist on a King Size bed. You won't be so limited.
