“Fabulous”

We recently stayed at Marina Fiesta and cannot say enough good things about this resort. The staff are outstanding and the resort itself is beautiful. The pool was heated and was a delight to swim in. The view from our patio was spectacular, we looked over the marina/city and pool. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The location is perfect, as you are within walking to distance to everything. We would highly recommend this resort and will most certainly return in the very near future.

Room Tip: Fifth floor overlooking the marina/pool

When we arrived the resort was very full. As is typical in most resorts in Mexico we had to whine a little and then we ended up with a very nice room. Read your contract, they all say if available.

Our room was on the second floor and as far as noise goes this resort is very quiet, no music at the pool just people having a good time. We actually do not sleep in the room in the day so we may not be the best judges of this. The room was clean and very adequate.

The pool was heated, good sized and kept very clean daily. The pool side service was very good. Manuel took care of us and we took care of him. Chips, pico de gallo, guacamole, and of course any drink you want.

We did the all inclusive for meals and drinks and do not have any complaints about the food. Some great, some so so, nothing bad. All the restaurants that are included have pretty good menus.

The resort is located in the marina a short walk from any place we wanted to go, dinner , dancing drinking or sailing. It is not located on the beach nor does it have an ocean view.
The beach clubs are just a 5 minute walk away.

The Time share people called our room once and we explained politely that we were not interested. We were not bothered again.

The maids missed our room a couple nights, but they brought us towels when we called.
There were times we felt that the resort was a little under staffed in the restaurants and the maids. They do make you sign for everything even though its all inclusive, this can be a little annoying. All this being said it was one of the best valued over all Resorts we have ever stayed at in Mexico.

“A Real Gem”

The Marina Fiesta Resort is a real gem. The resort has everything that you can need. Room service, heated pools, a spa, and a gym that looks over the ocean, marina and city. The view from our patio of the marina and the city was really nice. The refurbished rooms are especially nice. What really impressed me was how everyone was so friendly and helpful from when we checked in, to addressing any of our needs. The location is perfect, right in the heart of everything. This is our second trip and we would definitely go back. They have activities for adults and children. They also have the option of all-inclusive.

“Hotel or Time Share Sales Office ?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We stayed for two nights at the Marina Fiesta. The location is great, right on the Harbor with the restaurants right there. The hotel was booked on line with a good rate. Upon arrival check in was very slow as two different guests were arguing with the staff regarding the amounts charged to thier room. This did not fill us with confidence regarding the hotels record keeping so we decided not to eat any meals at the hotel other than the included breakfast.

Once we checked in we were looking forward to getting into our room when we were stopped by the resident time share sales person. We politely said we were not interested in speaking with him, but he got more and more aggresive. To the point where we said "its ok we are not interested" and his reply "that is not ok, it is my job!" We proceeded to walk away wondering why a hotel would allow an individual such as this man to hassle their hotel guests.

The room was small but nice, with a great view over the harbor. The rooms all had balconies which were awesome. The breakfast food buffet was not the best with items both under and over cooked. We noticed again the staff around the restaurant being surly with us and other guests. They again seemed to be upset when we handed them the included breakfast certificates.

Check out went smoothly as we had not charged anything to the room. We were ultimately happy to move on to the next non time share selling hotel.

Room Tip: The higher the room the better as it gets away from pool noise.
