“What more could you ask for?”

This was the perfect hotel for us. We have been to various parts of MX on 10 different trips. We like to go into town for dinner most of the time and also hang out at the beach and pool. You could walk to the marina and around town with ease. The resort had a slightly older crowd this time of year, but it is a short walk down the beach or to town for all the action you can handle. It was nice to spend some quite morning time at the beach after a night out. You can also get your shopping done from your beach chair with a drink in your hand as the vendors stroll by. The service was great when we ordered from the restaurants, beach, pool and room service. Food was very good and we are picky. It was amazing to see such a hard working staff, always maintaining, cleaning and trying to please. The decorations are also very nice with artifacts and statues and columns blended with the well manicured landscaping. We did not do the AI, but you could go on the time share thing, which we did, and our food, drinks, spa and an ATV trip was paid for. The scale of the Rose is perfect, not too big or small so they can get it right. Anyone who has a negative comment about this place or the service probably expects Ritz service for budget price. Not going to happen but the Rose comes close. For the price, what more could you ask for. When we come back to Cabo we will be comming back here.

Room Tip: The sixth floor was nice.

“Affordable excellence”

We came here with our two daughters 10,13. We stayed in a double bed kitchenette. The room was large and we enjoyed the amenities inside the kitchen to prepare our own meals throughout our stay. We walked into town to the local grocery store and felt comfortable and safe the whole time. In the resort beach area, the vendors remained outside the roped off area and we never felt harrassed at all. The pool had fun activities for the kids like vase painting and towel sculptures. There was a carnaval type celebration that had amazing dancers and fun games for all ages. We truly enjoyed our stay here and can't wait to come back!!

Room Tip: Ask for Alto, he will get you the best upgrades!!

“GOOD LOCATION”

Good location for walking to town and for some good local restaurants that are close by. Room okay but need updating. No free internet in rooms. You have to go to small courtyard by deli for free internet. People from Sunset Beach (sister complex located on Pacific side ) come over to Rose for beach use and take up all the beach lounges and umbrellas. In order to get good spot on beach you have to get up early. The beach is not beach friendly. Walk down the beach towards town and you will find the beaches more user friendly. The hotel adds a small fee each day at the hotel which they use as a donation to a charity they support. There is no mention of this on check-in so don't be surprised. If you do not wish to pay it, they will remove the fee. The hotel is experimenting with "all inclusive" so things will probably change next year.

“Time Share-PUEBLO SUNSET BEACH”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

This is our third time to Cabo and Bonito Rose was the best place so far. We stayed at the Crown Plaza (Hola) and Fiesta Americana previously.
I'll just cover the time share visit to the Sunset Beach property cause there's already 260+ great reviews on this hotel.
You can make arrangements for the visit to the time share location directly across from the front desk. The bus leaves at 9 and you'll return around 12:30. You'll visit some beautiful homes and spend 10 minutes at the end with a sales rep. showing you the cost of the propperties. I really didn't think that there was any high pressure tactics involved during the presentation, and we had no intention of buying a time share in the first place.
We got a $200 food credit and saved $60 a day for the all inclusive food (3 days-2 people), for a total savings of $380. They took the $380 off our bill when we checked out.
I guess you have to decide if It's worth $380 for four hours of your vacation time to see their time share property.
I would definitely go back again if the same offer was made-----
Also one of the recent reviews said they had no wifi at the hotel and had to go to the property next door------There is wifi at the Deli and courtyard on the property.

I booked my trip on Priceline for 5 nights from 1/24-1/28 with Air from San Francisco for $1300, and their price was $600 less than the next lowest offer on all the other sites.

“Great Location”

Rose is located on the beach, close to where the action is The rooms are nice but not fancy, but who stays in the room when you can lay by the pool all day long?
We did not do the all inclusive because we like to eat out on the town. From what we heard, there were limitations for food and drink choices with the package. We did have room service, meals by the pool and the buffet breakfast, everything we had tasted good and we were not disappointed.
Rose sets up a screen and projects music performances most nights by the bar. Great atmosphere.
