“Marbella grossed me out!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2007

What an outrage! The room we were given (for a two nite stay) had an obviously old, full size bed - no kings. It had a small wall unit for an air conditioner - which did not work. The "suite" had no TV -and no hot water. The entire place is in desperate need of TLC. We could not bring ourselves to stay for even one nite and ended up checking out approximately 2 hours after arriving.

“Very clean but noisey neighborhood dogs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 April 2007

We stayed at Marbella Suites for 6 days. The view of the Harbor is nice if you overlook the junk vehicles in the neighboring lot. The dogs next door barked alot at night. But really the property is a hidden gem of its own. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessary utensils to make your own meals. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk down the street. The property was quiet during the day and evening. the pool and court yard were also clean and the vegetation well kept and beautiful. For the price of $108 each night ( not per person) it was a steal compared with other resort rates. And face it, how much time do you spend in your room when your traveling. We basicly just sleep there. The staff was very friendly and accomadating. They have a phone for FREE calls to the U.S. and free wireless internet access with 2 pc's in the lounge area if you didn't bring your own laptop.

My only real gripe was the neighbor dogs barking.

“Pleasant stay at Marbella”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2007

We stayed at Marbella suites for one night Jan.13,2007. We found it to be a clean and friendly hotel. It is located on the hill above the freeway, close to costco. It is in a semi-neighborhood with a bit questionable houses nearby, but it seems pretty secure and was very clean and quiet. The rooms are simple but layed out well. The staff was very helpful with extra pillows, towels and bedding. They had great wireless internet for free! and free long distance and a computer area with internet for free.
The bed was really hard, but it seems a lot of the beds in Mexico hotels are really firm.
We would definatley stay at Marbella again.

“Economical choice on corridor”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2006

Stayed at Marbella En La Playa in Ocober 2006. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. The hotel is one of the older suite hotels on the corridor, the rooms show some what of a dated style but are large and were very clean. The pool was nice and there are miles of beach to walk . As is true of many of the hotels along the corridor there is no swimming in the Sea or Cortez due to rip tides. Restaurant served some of the best meals we had in our over two weeks in the area and at a very good price. Staff was very freindly, went out of their way to be helpful. This is an older hotel with lots of steps to climb and no TVs in the rooms, but an economical base to see the area. Good points, free phone calls to US, free internet access, the food, the staff, the price. Minus points, the steps and due to taxi prices you just about have to have a rent a car. “Lood Good From Outside”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2006

The Marbella looks great from the outside but once you get in the rooms things go down hill from there. The rooms are bare and not clean We had ants crawling all over our bathroom.

Also, not a good location for someone with a mobility disablity. You have multiple stairs hall ways to navigate to get anywhere in the hotel.
