We went for a two nt break as a treat to ourselves between Christmas & New Year. We booked the mid-priced room, which was comfortable, though no tv remote so I called to reception who brought another. In the meantime my husband had a look under the bed to look for it, naturally a bit surprised to find a Durex 'lube' instruction leaflet one side and a hair band on the other. There was also a 1.5 in nail on the bathroom floor (but no hole in the wall to show where it came from!)
We ate at the hotel on the first evening, but when I was asked to sign off the meal to be added to the bill, we had been charged for two of everything, which was corrected when pointed out. Breakfast was okay, though venue moved on second morning with no signage as to where to or why (there was a wedding party in original room)
Mineral water wasn't replenished on the second day as expected, we paid almost £300 for two nights b + b so was a bit miffed.
The spa was lovely and the best feature. Despite filling in the customer questionnaire, AND them sending a follow up 'thanks for staying' e-mail they have not addressed eg apologised for the errors, which is disappointing and a missed opportunity to reclaim some credibility.
