“Don't stay here”

This place is not a resort it may have been a resort but it is not anymore! The rooms are small and dirty. Really dirty blood on the walls of the bathroom and door. I went to the bar to drink until I almost passed out so I would not think of the disgust I was sleeping in. Yes it was that bad!! It needs renovated and new management.

“The nicest beach in Sonora”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 April 2010

It was a very surprising nice experience. For the price you pay there you get a clean room right on the ocean. The people were very helpful and very friendly. The food was very good. There were two of restaurants on the property and you could sit with your feet in the sand in a cute beach bar. It was a very relaxing Mexican experience for us, we loved it! The setting on the beach with the mountains in the background was just an awesome beauty.

“Great Place to get away and see the beautiful nature”

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the last few year, and this month we stayed for 4 day period. The beaches are great for our son to play on, and mostly to ourselves, except for saturday night. there are many amenities to choose if you ask for them. Its a little outside of town of san carlos. the restaurant had good authentic food with friendly service, and we payed only 49 dollars per night. there are 2 other restaurants on site that are independantly operated with great food and service. in the past we checked out other hotels in san carlos, but this is the only hotel with this amount of amenities on the beach for the small price to pay.

The hotel is a little older, and lacks some defirred maintance, but for the price you cannot beat this hotel, and the service was good. best of all we felt secure and truelly enjoyed the scenery, huge pool and the beach. Activities were on request like horseback riding on sitem kayaking, hobie cat sailing, spa service and other activities like boat tours were of site. all to be requested at the reception.

the room was simple with a TV with 12 or 15 channels, no phones, and 2 double beds that were clean and authentic mexican.

“Book somewhere else”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2009

This hotel is the worst in San carlos, it should not be classified as a resort. When we first arrived we couldn't find a parking space since there were cars parked in every angle you can imagine. Once you get to the front desk you have to wait for the guy to want to help you. we had to wait about 10 minutes before he stepped out of the office. There are cows on the property, as well as stray dogs going through trash that had not been cleared up. the buildings are not taken care of, we could see the electric wires as well as the air conditioning ducts hanging out from the ceilings and walls. We decided to go somewhere else because of the room. The beds were unbearable to sleep on. the had a mattress about 3 inches thick on a slab of cement. You have no privacy to the shower as it does not have a door, it had a plastic curtain. For a little more you could stay somewhere else with working AC, comfy beds and a more appropriate bathroom.
