“Mejorando mucho. Hermoso atardecer/ beautiful sunset”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

The hotel is improving a lot, his collaborators show an excellent service, are expected this year remodeled and upgraded more rooms. It is an excellent place for a family pass to the pool area is nice, the beach is beautiful without doubt one of the best beaches. The restaurant has a variety of food, buffet breakfast, I really recommend, you must go with an open mind and hoping to have fun if we go with the mind thinking about what we will be clear that we are more aware of the bad we can think and we will miss the opportunity to enjoy.

INDEED THE GUESTS TO ENJOY NATURE WITH SO BEAUTIFUL MIND THAT HOTEL PARADISO.

“Need an upgrade...But is a good option..”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

We stayed one night for a wedding. Its an old hotel, at least what I believe.. The rooms were just ok. The floor is old. There is no iron, and no iron board in the room. You should ask for an iron in the front desk. Air conditioning works great. There were no phone in room, so if you need something you'll have to walk to the front desk. I slept very well. The pool area is nice, so the beach area. There is a bar near the pool called "La Isla" and the bar tender was very respectful and friendly. We had to make some changes in one of our flights, and the people from the front desk made their best effort to help us, and we did the changes. Probably in a future, there will be no problem to stay here again. I could recommend this hotel to a friend.

Thank you for your comment. Paradiso Resort is in the process of remodeling 55 rooms between january and the end of march of 2012. the remodel includes 2 double orthopedic seally mattresses with box frames, or a single king bed with box frame and a pull out couch, new tile flooring throughout, new shower tiles, rearranged bathroom, bedroom furniture, 25 inch tv´s, lamps, improved lighting, new decoration, and a higher new ceiling. These improvements will be made during the lowest season of the year, and is applied to the building called Sonora, and the lower beachfront level of the Tabasco building.

“Complete Disappointment- Dump”

A room for 3 of us was 150$. The room small, with only a walk way. No lamp in the room, ceiling lights very poor. I was told to dial 0 if we need anything, yet no phone in the room to call. Sheets were clean, however, the bedspreads were filthy with what appeared to be old food. Bathroom dirty- shower filthy, tile coming up from around the sink & toilet. The hallways had lighting, yet it was very dark in the halls with the lighting. During the day the lights were off & the halls were very dark. Part of the ceiling outside of our hotel room was missing with exposed pipes. Down the hall from us rooms were wide open, grafiti on the inside of the rooms (the next day staff was in there doing a renovation). Towards the end of the building the hotel had windows that were broken out. This hotel has a the most pristine part of the beach in San Carlos- the land if prime, yet the beach is littered with garbage. The literature that was given to me (in Spanish), included amenities including horseback riding, tennis, snorkeling, cooking classes. The horses were "let out to pasture"- wandering around the resort, grazing- they were thin & appeared emaciated, the tennis courts were over-run with bushes & garbage & the fencing was caving in around the tennis courts, & the snorkeling gear that was out by the pool was in poor condition. There were no swim towels. The chairs by the pool were hard & many were cracked- I sat in four chairs until I found one that was not broke. We had the breakfast buffet, which was 10$, & the food was a huge disappointment. When I checked into the hotel the help said nothing about any of the amenities- & it was apparent why- there were none. The food was terrible. The young man making omelets appeared to have cracked very few eggs in his life- the worst omelet I've ever had. There was an ice bucket in the room, yet no ice machine available. We were told to go to the bar for ice, yet they would not give us ice from the bar. When I told the staff this when I checked out, they said "oh well". It was 110 degrees & there was no ice. I have been to San Carlos a dozen times over the last 15 years & always wondered what this hotel was like, at the land around it is beautiful- goes from mountains, to a beautiful cactus area, then the beach. This was a disappointment. (I considered booking this hotel a few years ago for my honeymoon. I would have been very angry had I paid that kind of money for this. This place needs torn down).

“I really look forward to returning to Paradise!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2011

OK, first of all, the Hotel Paradiso is a work in progress. 5 star it is not, and does not claim to be. But what it does have is one of the most beautiful swimming pool areas that I've ever seen. The pool guy is always making sure that the water quality is first class and it is a real pleasure to spend time relaxing in a lovely scenic location. And the sea is just 50 yards away if you like the beach, plenty of sunloungers and pleasant shady areas to enjoy. The food on offer at the Paradiso was varied and it was great to try some authentic Mexican dishes, all cooked to order and great value. There are other attractions within the resort, including a retaurant and a pretty wee beach bar, I spent some time at the Soggy Peso and you need to "hang" there in a hammock and soak up the view. The Tecate light complete with lime was my favourite!! All in all a lovely friendly hotel in a beautiful location, I would certainly go back.
