“The most amazing vacation ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

In a word, "perfect"! This exquisitely beautiful casa is perfectly situated - within easy walking distance of downtown, yet has breathtakingly scenic views of the city. It provides a relaxingly serene respite from any city noise and bustle (the air is fresher too), yet it keeps all the wonders of this historic community quickly accessible. The best of both worlds! .I've been all over the city, and could not find or even imagine a better location.

Not only is it in an ideal strategic position as a home base for exploring San Miguel, but the house itself is worthy of great acclaim. Within the property's secure walls are manicured gardens that make the place seem more spacious than it already is. I appreciate the use of native species, as well as edible fruit trees. There are plants everywhere, and I loved being surrounded by the green sanctuary. I truly felt safe and relaxed in this peaceful environment. I would've been happy to have just stayed in the house and never left to see the city!

The rooms are all very spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. One could spend hours admiring the local art and handmade creations which adorn the walls of this magnificent casa. I slept so well, and felt fully rejuvenated after only a couple of days. I'm so lucky to have been able to stay for over a week. I'd come back and stay over a month in a heartbeat! I can't wait to come back.

Thank you, Herbert!

P.S. I checked "Fitness center" as Excellent because the pool was spectacular! Refreshing, clean, and no chlorine to dry out your skin. The first time I'd ever swam in a salt water pool - awesome!

Room Tip: All the rooms looked wonderful, so I guess you'd just have to decide whether you'd rather be...

“Terrific and we'll be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2011

We booked for 5 days and loved it so much we extended our stay another week. The mansion is exquisite, filled with art and offers amazing views. The large suites are gorgeous with comfortable beds and linens. The bathrooms are luxurious with abundant hot water. The host is friendly, full of good information and provides scrumptious choices for breakfast. Lots of space for lounging by the enormous pool and many verandas for soaking up the sun or curling up with a good book. This was our favourite B&B of our Mexican vacation and we'll be back! Thanks for a wonderful holiday!

Room Tip: All rooms are luxurious and private.

“oasis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2011

My third stay at Casa Don Pascual was as memorable as the first two. An elegant oasis in beautiful San Miguel de Allende in a beautiful "home" with lovely garden and an amazing salt water pool. Herbert and his staff are professional, extremely helpful and gracious without being in your face. The accommodations are first rate, food is top notch and the other guests were friendly and fun. I highly recommend this place!

“Could make this my annual vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 June 2011

Spent a month here in February and had a super time. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. I met some great people who were also staying in the B&B and hope to stay in touch with them. The weather in February was wonderful. Chilly nights but the beds were warm and super comfortable. The days usually got warm enough to have a swim in the pool and as someone who enjoys a swimming pool I must say they have one of the nicest ones I have swum in. The B&B is a 15 or 20 minutes walk from the center of town and if you don't want to walk the cabs are inexpensive and easy to find. There is also a bus that runs every few minutes and it is a short walk to the bus stop. Herbert, the owner, knows lots about the town and has all kinds of suggestions for excursions. He took us to a wonderful operatic recital by mexican tenor who lived in the area and performed internationally. Herbert also knows most of the restaurants and made some great suggestions. Casa don pascual is a great place to just chill out and relax and get away from the Canadian winter.

“Spectacular!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 February 2011

A spectacular B & B with a spectacular view. The attention to detail, both physically and in hospitality, are beyond comparison. Host Herbert and his staff go the extra mile to ensure enjoyment and satisfaction. Visiting San Miguel de Allende is an incredible experience in its own right, but staying at Casa Don Pascual is an added pleasure; it is the tasty topping on the perfect dessert.
The only drawback is its location. While it is a walking distance to town, Casa Don Pascual is high on a steep hill. That is why it has the spectacular view it has. If you do not enjoy walking or hiking, this B & B may not be for you. But, on the other hand, bus lines are nearby and to get them one takes a flat route. Taxis, too, are always available.
So, for an incredible experience in an outstanding place, consider Casa Don Pascual.
