To be improved:
- Carpet was very old
- More air and venting in the bathroom

Good:
- The swimming pool
- Quality of pillows
- Professionalism of the recepcionists

It is an uphill 15mn walk to the center, if you don't 'need' a pool, for the same budget, you can find much better.

The bad - Rooms were dark and felt a little dirty. Not enough lighting or fresh air. Bathroom was uncomfortable and dark. Water pressure poor. WiFi weak in rooms and fair in lobby.

The good - very friendly service everywhere. Convenient location. Food was good and extremely reasonably priced. Breakfast especially - huge variety and tons of delicious fresh fruit. Nice pool and relaxation areas.

We went to Real Minas for three nights. It had a really nice atmosphere. There was a really nice pool and breakfast was included. I found the staff helpful and very willing to accomodate. The wifi was good as well. It took about 10 minutes to walk downtown. We are very pleased we chose this hotel.

Nice courtyard accessing the reception desk, the restaurant, lounge area, etc. Decent restaurant. Not much English spoken at the desk. Be prepared to struggle a bit, but when the concierge was on duty she was helpful.
Extensive Spa services sounded nice but I did not sample.

Room amenities nice--desk, fast, free WiFi in the room. Good comfortable bedding.

One complaint: pool was murky. Nice design, probably sanitary, but the water was far from crystal clear. Not pleasant. (Nice big pool towels provided--a plus.)
