“Charm, style and class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

I travelled to San Miguel de Allende with my husband and adult son in January 2012 . We were so lucky to come across Casa de La Questa where we spent 5 nights. The architecture of the house is beautiful, spaces the most tastefully decorated and filled with art and collectables. Heidi the owner has an artistic eye for design and decoration and also a talent for creating a very special atmosphere for the guests. Each morning her team of Mexican ladies served incredible breakfast which was for me a huge eyes and pallet opener - I never knew that Mexican food can be so delicious and so refine The rooms were very clean, beds made every day by a maid. Additional attraction- amazing mask museum . we highly recommend Casa de la Questa . See you at the breakfast table since w are coming back in April. Kinga

Room Tip: Each room has its special charm.

“Couldn't be better!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Casa de la cuesta is the most cozy and pretty B&B possible! It is located on the top of a hill, so you get a wonderful view of the town, with its churches and colorful little houses. The entire place is decorated with the work of the best Mexican artists, making each corner special in its own way. I plan on coming back several times!

Room Tip: All rooms have special decoration, typical mexican "artesanías". On their website, you can...

“Guarantees a Great Visit to San Miguel”

Our week at Casa de la Cuesta was the best bed-and-breakfast experience my wife and I have ever experienced. The rooms are beautiful, sunny, and quiet, each one tastefully decorated with its own artisan craft theme. The patio views of the sunset and the city-in-lights are spectacular. The two-course Mexican breakfast changes daily, with every dish so delicious you demand the recipe. The adjacent museum of authentic Mexican dance masks is truly fascinating. B& owners Heidi and Bill are entertaining and gracious, ready to provide site-seeing shopping, and dining suggestions.

Room Tip: If they are available, ask for the Colibri (hummingbird) room or the Mascaras rooms

“The Perfect Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

This B & B far exceeded our expectations. It is beautiful, arty, impeccable
and situated just far enough from the hustle and bustle to feel restful and
still be within walking distance of the Jardin. We are just sorry that we had
not planned for a longer stay. The FANTASTIC breakfasts alone merited
a longer stay!
Whether you need a getaway from D.F. or in our case from Miami, this is
an excellent place to go. My advice is to stay a week at least. Three days
were not enough. We can't wait to return and visit our new BF Heidi who
happens to be the owner!

“This is so much more than just a place to lay your head!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

WOW! That was the feeling I had as I came through the door and ascended the dramatic stairway featuring Mexican Ceremonial Masks, then coming into the first plant filled courtyard and up more steps into a grander art filled courtyard!

It was morning. We were next welcomed into a magnificent kitchen with fireplace going to cut the early chill of a San Miguel winter morning.

Seated at a large table, we were treated to one of the most delicious breakfasts I have ever had.

So you asked did I like my stay? Excellent!

This colonial Mexican B&B manages to be both grand and warmly intimate.

The most impressive part to me though was the owners. It was the "full circle" way I saw that they give back over and over to the community. Bill has an impressive Mexican Ceremonial Mask Museum which not only tourists, but school children, regularly visit. Heidi has a gallery of local Mexican Artists plus displays their work in the B&B.

You won't be disappointed.
