I had been wanting to visit San Miguel since the Rosewood opened in early 2011. My husband surprised me with a trip there in December. What a great experience! The service was impeccable, much better than you would find at a comparable hotel in the US. The room was spacious and well appointed. The roof top tapas bar was a destination in itself...so serene with fantastic views of San Miguel. The breakfasts were fabulous in the 1826 restaurant and concierge service was outstanding in suggesting outside restaurants. We visited the spa one afternoon and had great massage therapists. The property is architecturally beautiful with pristine landscaping.

Our negatives were: The water in the room was always lukewarm even after we called maintenance. The one dinner we had at the 1826 restaurant was just ok for the price. My husband did come back with bed bug bites but we are unclear as to when and where it occurred.

Overall a fabulous 4 days and can't wait to return with our children.

Previously we had only had meals and drinks at the Rosewood. Decided to come for Christmas and it was an excellent decision. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The staff is well trained and very attentive. Our experiences in the 1826 dining room and the Luna bar were once agin outstanding. Definitely worth a visit to a beautiful property.

A terriffic hotel in this city, and the view from the tapas bar on the roof is outstanding. The service was very good, and all the staff was friendly and attentive. It's a fairly long uphill walk to the Jardin, so anyone with walking issues should consider a cab or a hotel closer in.

Good buy very very very average service. I stayed at Las Ventanas (a Rosewood resort in Los Cabos Mexico) and was amazed by the level of service, food and magic in every way. I thought Rosewood San Miguel de Allende will be the same but not even close. I had a great time and service is good but very very very average compare to other hotels that cost 50% of the price. Food is good but again very very average. Spa is also good but average as everything. The only thing that really made me angry was the valet parking when I arrived and when I leave the hotel. Those guys really need some training. Try this hotel, it's very nice, just to do expect an incredible service as in other Rosewood resort.
