This is a so-so hotel ... the proximity to the center of town is great, but the hotel is not the star rating it thinks it is.

While you are offered 2 bottles of water per day, its hit or miss if you get it.

English is lacking but the staff do try.

The resturant menu was limited .. I ordered the Fillet Minoin and it was the worst piece of meat I every had.

This is the hotel to stay in in tampico. Great location, clean, modern facility with very friendly staff. I have stayed here five times and have never been dissapointed with the room or service. Be sure to get out and walk, this hotel is in the heart of the city, one block from the main zocalo, shopping and restaurants all around you. You are in the heart of a very active part of town, I never felt uneasy, great location, I highly reccommend this one

My wife and I stayed at the Mansion Real Tampico for two months. The Hotel is in the heart of the historic and old part of Tampico. The hotel is clean, safe and the staff was attentive to our every need.
Their english is limited, but the effort is not.

The food is good but not as good as some of the very fine restaurants in the area.

Though not on the typical vacation road, you can have a great time enjoying the area for a few days.

The hotel is associated with the Camio Real and the Mansion Real in Altamira.
