First of all i'd like to say , that i read some reviews here and I was a bit concern, when i got to OM i could;t believe what a pile of nonsense people put on their review. The beds at Tulum are uncomfortable? Are you serious, i was in one of the cheapest jungle side cabanas and i had one amazing queen size bed and one enormous king size bed. both had perfect mattress , so comfy and firm!The cabana is cleaned and super well kept. yes there are no mosquitos nets but the room is totally mosquitos proof , just do not let the door open at night is you are on the jungle facing side! And THERE ARE NOT bed bugs in the beds!You walk less then 10m and you're walking through one hell of beach. outstanding white sand shaded by palm trees and the most breathtaking idilic turquoise sea. Even the beach beds and the hats are beautiful , comfortable and in perfect harmony with the nature around.
The bar offers great selection of cocktails, drinks and a wonderful menu of fusion caribbean cuisine ,plus one of the best sea food pizza i have ever had (i'm Italian btw). the food is sooo fresh and well presented and the prices are by a long way some of the cheapest in the beach area.

Om has friendly stuff , helpful and great fun. I was traveling with friends and with a 3 yo child. They offered perfect accommodation and food for everyone.

Tulum beach is more expensive that Tulum town, but then again you can not complain if you have to pay a dearer price for being in paradise. its not the hippy cheap and cheerful of India's beaches but its also way far from the beehive of the idious resorts of Cancun .
Tulum is simply enchanted and Om is one of the cheapest and best option to visit Tulum.

I have traveled intensively , i do know what i'm talking about ad i would like to thank everyone at Om gain for such an amazing experience.

Totally worth the money!

The big problem here is power. When it goes off at 11pm you are left with no fan. This means that if you're unlucky enough to be in one of the rooms with no sea breeze (eg room 1) then you're in for a very hot night. Absolutely no power points in the room becomes annoying after a while. The shower is weak and salty.

The rooms are dark and rustic but large, which is fine for most people.

On the other hand, the staff are lovely, the restaurant and food good and the setting and beach area & facilities are lovely.

My wife and I returned from Tulum last week. Not being one to write many reviews I felt compelled to share our Tulum experience. It's simply one of the nicest beaches we've ever been to. Definitely, our new favorite in the Caribbean. The hotel zone is tucked into the jungle, the beach is long, with soft white sand, warm water, and without the large crowds of more popular tourist destinations. We also really enjoyed the chill vibe felt throughout the area. This is exactly what led us to Tulum and not the more crowded, cookie cutter parts of the Caribbean we've already been to. A quick 4 day recharge on a quiet beach, beer and book in hand.

Om was extremely warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, as I've read in other reviews here. The rooms were clean and comfortable, albeit with out some of the amenities we're all used to. But that was part of the charm and vibe of Om and Tulum in general. We did not have any of the issues other reviews mentioned like no hot water or bugs. We were also pleasantly surprised by the food at the hotel restaurant. It was all reasonably priced and very flavorful and authentic tasting. The tuna tartar and huevos breakfasts were our favorites. The pizza was pretty good too. All in all a really good trip for us. Looking forward to visiting Tulum and Om again!
