I'm writing this in the dining room at Hemingway's as a cute little rain shower has popped up. My friends and I have stayed in Tulum just shy of a dozen times. We usually stay at Azulik, but over the last few years, we have felt that property has fallen into some disrepair, although we always have enjoyed it.
We were a little hesitant to go to a new property, but I am really glad that we did. We love it here. The palapa is rustic like we like it. That isn't for everyone, but if you are trying to unplug as we want to do, it's perfect.
We enjoyed the on site massage and though we like to be slugs here the fact that Amansala and Maya Tulum offer yoga that we COULD do if we weren't REAL lazy is a nice option too. El Tabano across the way has a yummy avocado salad for a treat and Hemingway serves a nice complimentary breakfast and some really great coffee if you like cinnamon.
Tonight is reserved for Don Cafeto's grande margarita and mole enchiladas. However, with the find of this romantic property, we definitely found the whole enchilada.
