If you want a small, quiet, but friendly hideaway in the jungle then this fits the bill. Its on the Southern fringes off town but walkable into the centre, but you'll need transport to get to the beach. The facilities are simple but all you need; air-con, fan, clean room. The rooms are arranged around a central courtyard where breakfast is served and each has a little veranda looking out onto the lush gardens. We didn't have any mosquito problems but maybe it was the time of year. There were a few ants in the room, but only to be expected given the setting. There's no TV, which was fine by us but an in-room fridge would have been nice and the WIFI is pretty hit and miss. Also the walled garden and trees make it a bit dark in the rooms. We also found that people often walked thru the gardens thus intruding on your privacy as they could look straight into your room.
The breakfast service was rather slow and we found it a bit unsubstantial (although you can order eggs for an extra charge) bread, jam, juice and the typically weak mexican coffee, sometimes some fruit.
But overall the experience is pretty good but I think it needs to do a bit more to justify the price and with these little niggles, falls just that bit short of excellent.
