My husband and I were on our long-waited honeymoon for 7 nights and absolutely loved it. We got married in Oct 2010, but having just started our own business early 2010, we decided to hold off on our honeymoon. It was worth the wait, especially staying at Playa Palms. We wanted a boutique hotel with a balcony on the beachfront. Not too far from restaurants and shopping areas and peaceful at nights. Great services and super friendly/ attentive staff and concierge (Carlos). Carlos went above and beyond by working during his day off and arrived early to make sure we got onto our excursion. We have been traveled several places in the world and Playa Palms definitely one of our top 3 hotels in our memories. If you do stay at Playa Palms, spend a little more on the Ocean front Unit (there are only 2 units), it is definitely worth it! We stayed in 301, loved the decor, amazing lightings and very comfy bed. Free WiFi - There are 3 different WiFi to accommodate all room locations. WiFi worked great in our room and phone signal was also great. Definitely go back to Playa Palms again!

My husband and I were looking for a quaint and relaxing hotel and Playa Palms turned out to be absolutely perfect. It was our first time to Playa del Carmen and we loved it! The hotel was centrally located right on the beach with views of the blue-green waters and pelicans flying by every day. There was easy access to town via the beach side or street side of the hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly, pleasant and helpful. The rooms were bright and beautiful with great views of the pool, ocean, and flowering tropical plants. Every morning free continental breakfast around the corner at the Indigo Restaurant was included with our room. It was right on the beach as well and very beautiful and relaxing. We were so pleased with the Playa Palms we will definitely be back next year. Wish it could be sooner.

Went for an extra long weekend with the girlfriend. Wanted a nice beachfront but definitely didn't want a mega-resort. Booked the beach-level ocean front family suite and couldn't be happier. The view was amazing and RIGHT on the beach. Property was right in the center of everything, near all shops and restaurants and the 5th Avenue promenade. Everything was super clean in the suite and on the property. The staff was very attentive but not over-bearing. We've stayed many places in Playa del Carmen, Playacar and the like but I'll never be booking elsewhere from here on out. I've absolutely nothing bad or even mediocre to say about Playa Palms. If you go, splurge for the ocean-front, it's worth it!

My husband and I were on our honeymoon but only stayed here for 1 night, not because of the hotel we just wanted to travel all over Mexico while we were there! We wish we would have stayed one more night there! I loved the atmosphere, it was right around the corner to the "Night Club Zone" as what they called it and I highly recommend everyone going on 5th Avenue during the night. It is a lot more busier and you get less harassed to come into everyone's little shops!
