Upon arrival, my husband and I were told due to the issues in Egypt (we're guessing influx of tourists???-no further explanation was given) we had been moved to the sister hotel, Alux.
The Alux, while clean and quiet (other than VERY thin walls) was not what we had hoped or paid for in the comfort department. We were given a discount of $10USD, yet the deposit we paid a month prior was not refunded, therefore, we paid the same as we would have at the nicer place, Playa del Karma.
We were only there for one night, so it wasn't so horrible...but lesson learned!

We´re really sorry about your discomfort, as I had mentioned before the other hotel has the same category 3 stars like our, the little difference in the price is because they don´t have pool, spa and restaurant services.
But to be fair you should mention the compensation that we given to you and forgot to mention. Besides you will be discounted 10 us in your rate, you was allowed to use ours hotel´s facilities and two breakfasts for free on your check out day at a cost of 6 U.S. per person and two free massages with duration of 20 minutes at cost of 15US each and Mamitas beach club tickets free at 9 US cost (two tanning beds, one umbrella and 10% discount in the Mamitas beach restaurant), with a totally amount more than 50US, If you decide to take or not advantage of this benefits compensation it was you choice.
Anyway if this is not enough to compensate for their discomfort, we ask you again your bank account number, where we can deposit the 7.30 Us you requires to us to repair the damage that we cause you.
However it was never our intention to create you such a nuisance. SORRY AGAIN!!!!!!! We always try to give good solutions to all our clients even if some times is difficult.
