This is hotel if fabulous. Amazing locaton, step out of your room and your on the beautiful beach! Service at this hotel is amazing. Great Food, Great Atmosphere. Lovely Boutique Hotel, Very Cool.

I did a lot of research before I booked Mosquito Beach and I was not disappointed. I'm just going to repeat a lot of positive and some negative opinions from previous reviews. The location is perfect! You can't ask for more: you are on the beach and and just a half block away from a strip of shops and dining with many-many great selections. The hotel is modern and stylish. We stayed in a junior suite for 7 days. The size of the bedroom is ok, the bathroom could be a little bigger. Some people complains about storage space, let me tell you, I love to overpack and I still had enough room to put my clothes away in the closet. I slept like a baby in the comfy king size bed. Yes, the room is dark, I definitely wouldn't mind a lighter color on the walls. During my stay was a full house and the property was still nice 'n quiet.
Lunch and drinks are excellent. I was not crazy about breakfast. I loved the beds on the beach, they are free for hotel guests.
Service at front desk, beach club and housekeeping was great, they really made our stay enjoyable.
If I could book their Mosquito Beach Suite or Ocean View Suite next time I go back that would make my stay perfect.
I checked out other boutique hotels in the area during my stay and overall I highly recommend Mosquito Beach. I will go back.

Me and my husband stayed 3 nights at Mosquito Beach and didn't want to leave. The place is lovely! Modern rooms, very friendly staff and breakfast is served at the beach area, very relaxing! Worth the money, but we should have stayed longer, a week at least!!!

after reading the reviews I was skeptical since they were pretyy bad. But the pictures and the location was so great I took a chance and I dont regret it. The hotel is contemporary boutique hotel. quiet but in the heart of Playa del carmen where all the hot spots are. it is right at the beach too and beacuse the hotel is boutique style (small and intimate), you have access right as you go out your room.
