The location 1 block from 12th St (where all the big clubs are) is perfect. 3 blocks to beach, and they provide you with beach towels. Discount to local beach clubs. Good continental breakfast ($7) at sister property 5 blocks away. Basic amenties but clean and well kept grounds. Athough on major street, decent sound insulation. Super friendly staff. Free Wifi, coffee and water. Easy parking on the street. Only bad thing is bad water pressure in shower. But given this is a problem in a lot of Playa hotels, it should not be a deal breaker.

My stay at Aqualuna was wonderful! Hotel very clean, and cheap and the location is just perfect. Close to everything and at the same time, a lot more quiet!
The staff is very nice and helpful with wonderful advice about the places to go and see! Especially Marco!

My stay here was all-around very good! The hotel is beautiful, both inside the rooms, and in the courtyard, at the pool, etc. It is very close to many restaurants and bars, as well as 5th Avenue, the main street in the downtown area. All of the staff, especially Marco Berumen, are extremely friendly and helpful, as well as ready and willing to give helpful suggestions and tips as to where a some good food or nightlife is.

I can't think of a single negative thing to say about the Aqualuna, and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to go to Playa del Carmen, and wants to avoid the all-inclusive resort type of holiday.

We stayed at Aqua Luna in feb 11 the service was awesome the people that work there stating from Marco the front desk attendant and the cleaning ladies were just magic, anything that we need or had a question about they alway had the best answer and the best advice on what to do during the day or the night.

Marco became our adviser for our stay he guided us to the best places around and the best food that was around Playa.

One night the cleaning lady( Yami ) took us to this Native dance party 5 stars.

The hotel its just an amazing experience, the room is amazing super clean and cosy, the outside patio was my MOST favorite on a hot day just sitting under a nice palm tree with a nice cold beer it just makes you vacation soooo much better and..

And i could go on and on and on about this amazing hotel but i will let you experience it and you will find out the beauty of it i do not want to spoil it.

Definitely will book here again.
