The hotel is ok and the service too even thought there is a noticeable lack of standard in cleaning the rooms which for me is not acceptable given it is a 4-star hotel (5 according to Mexican quotation). For example, some days, the room lady would do the bed by putting the top sheet over the blanket (gross!) and some days, she would do the bed fine by putting the blanket over the top sheet. One evening I had to call reception to have my bedsheets changed because there was a big yellow stain on it! Also, the toilet was not flushing properly, body gel soap, shampoo and face cloths were provided on an adhoc basis.
The worst happened the night before leaving when someone broke into our room while my travelling partner and I were sleeping and robbed my handbag in which I had my passport, travelling documents, camera, money, sunglasses and all!!!! So if you go to this hotel, make sure to keep your valuables in the safety box until your departure. Perhaps a chair in front of your door while you sleep would be a good idea and make sure your patio door is propoerly locked..You can never be careful enough……I personally will think twice before going to Mexico in a near future. …found this experience quite scary...
