Not a good start to holiday because our room was ok untill the morning at 6am when we heard our neighbours baby making a noise . It was not there fault becuse it was a con-joining room then the next day we was woke up at 5.30am with the same problem so i went to customer service to ask to get moved no problem said the guy so we packed and moved to another room. Which to our amazement was the same room but a few blocks down and with very loud americans . My wife was close to tears we went back to customer service very angry and asked to speak to the duty manager whose was JOSY. she was great she upgraded us to select which gave us more privileges that was great but all we wanted was a good sleep ( so a big thank you to josy ) One more thing on the not so good on thursday night we went to the main bar and was told there was no vodka so we went to 24 hour bar and they had no vodka . I asked the bar man why is this and was told they only get a bottle off vodka per day which i think is crazy. Now for the good points . The entertainment team was very good and hard working . The waitress service was great . Loads to do during day and night . Food was excellent .The beach was lovely.If it was not such a long flight i would return but 10 hours was too much for me . Just one more thing be prepared to get up early to get a bed at the pool .

Spent 7 nights here first week in February. The resort appears to be a great place for families/kids.......as it was my wife and I staying in the Select Club, I can only speak to that.

The "Select Club" rooms are not as described: A Select Deluxe room DOES NOT have in room wi-fi, "premium drinks", iPod player or a 42" TV (all are listed on the ENGLISH website as In room amenities). The ultimate insult to this was we brought this to the attention of the reception staff (Hugo and Luis) and they had the audacity to bring up the Spanish version of the site, trying to claim they were not really "in room", just "available"

The timeshare sales pitch we received at check in was not appreciated....."You must bring your credit card and ID to the meeting tomorrow at 11:00" must have been said no less that 7 times.

The Select Club "Adults Only" area on the beach is very good, and the bar staff there are great, however given the layout and number of rocks on the beach, you will have kids right in front of you in the water (have a look at Google Maps, you'll see what I mean).

The gym/spa facilities are good, but watch out for the loose flooring in the weights area.

Restaurants: La Laguna Buffet - Good. La Toscana Buffet (Italianish) - good (BUT YOU MUST MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR DINNER - also contrary to the website). Las Mascaras (Mexican)- Very Good. El Templo (Asian) - Absolute garbage. Fogo Do Brasil (Brazilian) - Excellent!

Select Club "Adults Only" pool - Very good, with a raised spa area. You will get families with kids walking through "just to have a look"

This was a wonderful resort. I've been to Mexico before and Cuba and DR. This was by far the best. The service was wonderful - the food was great, the drinks are awesome. We upgraded to the Elite - so we could enjoy the "members" area with the adults only pool. Well worth it - as this place is crawling with kids! And they can be annoying - not the resorts fault, not the kids fault - just the parents! Hey Parents - just cuz you want to be with your children, doesn't mean we DO! Keep them under control and AWAY FROM THE BUFFETS! Nothing worse than a kid with a snotty nose, picking up food and putting it back, or cutting a slice of cake, licking the icing off the knife and putting the knife back in the cake! UGH. Other than the rugrats - all was great. I hate the 'holding of the chairs' with a towel though. You know, if no one did that, no one would have to! I saw so many empty chairs with towels, I started taking the chairs and the towels. Guess what? No one ever came up to me and said "that's my chair"...oh well, their loss. Hope they had to pay the $20 for their missing towel (I got 5). We should have a "OCCUPY CHAIR" revolt - if every resort stopped allowing that - rarely would they need extra chairs! Oh well...other than chairs and KIDS, I totally loved this place and will return. It is very large - but well laid out once you get the hang of it. And there are ruins and cenotes and forest right on the resort. Front desk service was awesome, room service was great, room was clean and well kept, waiters and waitresses on the beach and at the pool were totally super! I WILL RETURN

This is a fantastic resort. We were there for a week this January and our stay was not long enough. We did not get to see the whole resort or experience all it has to offer. This resort is picture perfect. Everywhere you look is a picture. The staff are incredible, we made many friends who we still stay in contact with. The rooms are beautiful although the balconies a little small. The water is gorgeous, the beach is inviting and the pool is romantic. I don't think there is another resort that could measure up. Will definately be returning. This resort offers something for everyone. Weather it be a romantic getaway or a family vacation. The Sandos will sure to please.
