“Room Broken Into...Unsafe Hotel!”

I just returned from from a stay at the Elphante Hotel. My room was robbed on the first night. There is no security to speak of and the rooms are very easy to break into, the doors have cheap locks, windows that can be taken apart and someone can then reach the inside door knob.

DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING THAT YOU WOULD MISS IF TAKEN IN THIS HOTEL/ROOM.

I am man, former Marine, and former law enforcement officer, and would never suggest that a woman stay in this hotel alone.

“Many good memories”

I have stayed many times at this hotel. While it is by no means fancy... it is a bed to sleep in and a shower when you'd like to freshen up. I wouldn't reccomend it to someone looking for a resort... but if anyone is just looking for somewhere to sleep in the middle of their tropical adventure, I give it a thumbs up. It is about a block away from the main shopping street, and maybe four blocks to the beach. It's a nice, safe walk, with lots of things to see along the way. Some of my best vacation memories came from the times I stayed at this hotel.
