We stayed ay Quinto Sol for two nights in February. I was a little disappointed to be honest in certain areas, but the friendly and attentive staff made up for the downsides.
I read on their website that the Mini Suite included a "private balcony"... not the case. There is a common balcony area with two lounge style sofas. A jacuzzi on the roof (not sure if you can call it a jacuzzi since the water is not heated) which was very enjoyable during the day, but unusable at night after 9:00PM.
I expected (especially in a "suite") to have at least a complimentary bottle of water, and coffee maker... non-existent. Mini bar - empty. Stove - rusted. Small details which really did not bother me, there's a liquor store right on the corner .
However, the doors and window jams are paper thin, letting in EVERY noise from outside. I might have slept for 6 hours the whole two nights due to the noisy neighbors and 5th ave. That did bother me. You could literally here the kitchen opening at 6:00AM as if they were in the room. Plus the "suite" we stayed in had an adjoining door to the next room which was noisy as well. I've stayed at hotels in high traffic areas before... it's called soundproofing guys... look into it.
Now for the good: Very friendly staff in the reception area and on grounds. Always smiling... a gentleman came and turned the bubbles on the jacuzzi for us as soon as he saw us with swim suites and towels. Great internet speed. Beautiful place really. Nice garden. Decent continental breakfast down the street. Nice "rain style" showers. AC, TV, and very clean rooms. I might stay here again, but only if I planned to stay out on the town all night, and I wouldn't pay extra for a "suite" either.
