My stay at this small hotel was for more than four weeks in late January/February 2010. I was given an excellent rate because I was there for an extended time and for me it represented really excellent value for money.
Initially I was in a room at the front facing the street which was quite noisy, however after a couple of weeks, I was able to move into a better room facing the rear of the property which was very quiet and just felt much more private. Security, important for me, was excellent.
The breakfast provided each day was very adequate and always started off with fresh squeezed orange juice, something I don't have at home. Sylvia was an efficient, capable staff person and Alan the owner was always helpful with information on the area.
Location was less than a block from the Merida English Library and I was able to get the bus to Progreso, other buses and transportation, very readily,
I found the back courtyard, pool area, with lovely trees, to be very pretty and restful. I suggested to Alan and he thought it a good idea, that a few decorative touches, eg. Mexican wall hangings on the back exterior and perhaps some pictures/wall hangings in the rooms, would add greatly to the ambience and present a homey touch. Because of this and my first room I have not given a top rating in the categoy "rooms"
